Returning GW-Boomer Rant

    The news about Reforged and mobile excited me recently so I decided to return to Guildwars after more then ten years.
    Unfortunately I lost my old account and since I didnt use my real name in the registration back then, I had to buy a new key.
    So far I had a blast playing through Shing Jea Island. Upon arrival in Kaineng Center I realized that max. armor isnt cheap for a fresh account. But I farmed Sensali feathers and was finally able to afford it.

    Next I thought about buying a nice weapon and then it hit me. Everything seems to be at least a couple of ectos. Back in the days I could get some greens for 2-3K. Nowadays every offer in game as on this site is way out of my range. How is everyone affording any trading? Is RMT mandatory? Are all the active players Speed Clearers?

    I wont be able to put in as many hours as I could back when I was still in school. Maybe I will try to accept that Melandrus Accord is forced for me. Maybe I will quit again soon.

    Anyways, Id like to hear how new and returning players deal with the economy ;)

    Sorry to hear that, i can say that majority of players just trash regular greens and gold items, room is more important than few ectos to many, which means ppl arent willing keep stuff for anything less than few ectos - > If u dont wanna work for the stuff urself, u just need to find right players and u probably can get that stuff etc for free.

    Farming enough for few ectos etc arent much work tho, if u just do quests, missions and pick up drops the gold will gather quickly, especially with reforged mode on

    the low end of items just goes for a bit more money, but it goes both ways. you can sell greens and mods for a few ecto instead of a few k. so if you do player trading you can get money quick. i would think of it as a slightly higher monetary general baseline.

    in general the majority of items got cheaper so in my opinion it is very cheap to get basic max dmg gear. especially with some patience in kamadan.

    that is after you get over that very initial no-money phase of a new account though.

    I agree. It's easier to get obsidian armors and chaos gloves then ever before. 30hp/20% ench mods sell for 1-5e sometimes .


    But the start is rough wich I also experienced with my dhum Mel char. That short phase of suffering is worth it tho for the best game ever made ❤️💯👏🏻🥰😍
