How to spot Celestial Weapons in Nahpui Quarter fast?

Hi everyone,

I am hunting for OS Celestial Weapons in Nahpui Quarter (Mission). They always drop when visible on Tengus, so I decided to run through the map as fast as possible and only kill the relevant targets and open chests. So far it works quiet well with a SF Build.

However I wonder if there is a way to spot them fast from a distance. Since the star lights spells will sometimes hide them. Also there are some areas where distant Tengus can be seen from roofs and bridges.

I could definitely improve the speed of the run if I didnt have to stop and move the camera around so much.

So far I got a Shield, two Swords and four Bows from Tengu + one scepter and one staff from chests.

Are the Star Lights ever wielding celestials? I have not yet seen any.

Any help on spotting the celestials fast from a distance is appreciated.

Huh, never thought to do that. I farm the Vermins outside Senji for my Celes.

Even though you see a Tengu with a cele it's not guaranteed to drop, right?

i think they can drop cele weapons that they arent wielding though. so you might be missing out on some drops that way. starlights can drop cele weapons, ive had that happen.

im pretty sure if a tengu has a cele weapon it will drop, as long as youre solo and heroes or henchmen cant claim/prevent your drops.

They can still drop if not wielding, but if they are wielding a celestial it drops everytime.

It would be interesting to know what happens if a Star Blade has both a shield and sword. But I guess that will only happen once every 100.000 runs…

I just found out about Toolbox. I have not yet tried it. Is there a way to make the celestial skin bigger, so that it can be detected faster? Would the free camera mode allow me to scan the map without moving or are mobs invisible in free camera mode?

you would have to change how the game loads models in the distance and i dont think thats possible. i think the best bet is the way you do it now just run around and look out for those weapons

I agree with trademeimfamous. It's a render issue. The character models may be recognizable at distance but weapon skins haven't even rendered.

I really suggest you chest run vermines or farm mantides for cele weapons rather than running the whole coop hunting for cele, that would be so much more efficient drop wise

I actually do all three methods.

Mantids only when favor is up.

It feels like there are more Swords and Shields in Nahpui Mission.

Mantids mostly drop Hammers.
There are lots of Bows everywhere.

So far Ive only gotten Scepter and Staff from Chests.

Maybe I will track drops in the future.

I do Vermins regularly in HM and get all martial and caster skins from chests and mobs. Also Elite Sin Tomes

Edit: *Except axes. Only one (+5e 20%Enc) a couple weeks ago.

The visible celestials stopped dropping!?!
My last 3 encounters all failed to drop their equipped celestial weapons. Before that I had 15+ without a single miss. Has anything changed? My farming char just finished the campaign, can that influence drop behavior?

Nah it s just unlucky, having them wield the weapon doesnt mean they will 100 prct drop it upon death, they do have a higher chance to drop it but they dont drop it automatically.

Better farm during favor because that influence the gold weapons drop rate
