Q: R8 15-22 Swords (All Swords)

    while swords can generally drop max q8, not all of them do, some just dont have sources with low enough level (zodiac and vertebreaker come to mind).

    and by "top 2 stats" i assume you mean the current mod range (i.e. 14^50 and 15^50 on gold)? yes certain mods are pre-nerf (12^50, 13^50 on gold) and cant drop at all anymore, regardless of req8. the same post-nerf range of mods applies to all drops.

    Zodiac swords could still drop after the 2006 nerf, but not anymore.

    They could still drop from the few Hopping Vampires (The suicidal ones) in the beginning of Urgoz. Since they were only lvl20. But at some point anet made them not drop any items anymore - I forgot when exactly that was.

    You can drop q8 items (focii, shields, swords) on foes level 16 to 21 and on chests where the key cost less than 600gold (maguuma chest, elonian chest, canthan chest, kournan chest )

    So area like deep/urgoz will not drop them anymore.

    The truth about Pre-Nerf

    I thought it might be helpful to collate a list of stats we know to be Pre-Nerf.

    An item is considered Pre-Nerf if it cannnot drop any more. In other words, the possibility of the game generating these stats or items has been physically removed by the coders at Anet, mainly 2005/2006 around the release of Factions. The only way to acquire Pre-Nerf items is through trading with other players.

    Alright - this is gonna be a big one.

    Here I had posted a thread similar to this one - limited to the part that matters for presearing. Iwant to extend it on here as to cover EVERYTHING considering ranges, rarities, values, odds and ends. We won´t discuss skins on here.     Chests with Q8 Max Drop Possibilities

    Hi all,
    As a full time and active Chest Runner myself, I thought that this list may be something useful to other chest runners, or possibly players who would like to get into chest running.
    I realize there are other discussion/question posts out there asking about where to farm Q8s from foes, I would like to keep this thread specific to chest drops.

    The below is a list of all GW chests by Campaign. I would like to track which chests have a possibility of dropping a Q8 Max Sword, Shield, Focus…
