My feeling is my q8 version with perfect but slightly worse dual necro mods only hit 5a. Its rare as hell and neat but little market hence my 100e thought on it when a q8 was so tough to sell.

not much of a caster person but most i would pay is around 100e for it at least as a starting idea. Neat but not all that useful of a combo. Wait for more caster type folks to chime in.

A lot of it is collecting purposes and anecdotally certain mods seem to just be very rare. Dwarves, Tengu, and Giants are very uncommon as drops in my experience.
Useful mods as you mention are things like Demons which are a huge advantage and same with plants for urgoz among a few others. I think realistically anet just never fleshed out the uses of some of these mods or better yet the player base never found a meta use at least not anymore.
Tengu farming at release was huge on warriors outside riverside province prenerf where a tengu shield was a prized farming weapon. Giants was actually the same scenario when farming ettins in north kryta was big, hill giants at the end of riverside province, and sand giants in the crystal desert. Giants mod was also quite useful for droks run and same with dwarf.
Dwarves was quite popular during the early days as well since stone summit were some of the nastiest end game mobs. Dwarf gear was quite big into the Sorrows furnace farming days as well. Even today dwarves is still quite useful for chest running and slaver's exile farms.
Pretty much all the creature shields even today have some decent use although the most common and least useful of mods would be dragons followed by ogres. There are just so little of those mobs in the game but I am sure some speed clear situations have made them useful to a tiny extent.
Onto the caster gear with creature mods they are even more stupid rare to land perfect but not as valuable. More of a collecting thing although I have some very specialized solo farms that use them. I find farming on VWK rit that a focus with +10 vs creature and +30 health can be optimal if I have a large cast stack as I run into aggro. This again is getting into super specialized uses and also finding one with dual useful mods is quite a task. I do consider them underappreciated overall.
Bonus: The rarest shield combo in my opinion that still drops would be +10 vs creature +1 attribute 20%.

My opinion of low req sunqua are the following sources: A few aforementioned shing jea bosses. Dragon festival 2006 only as it had actual uw mobs with uw drops/cantha. Cantha headstart event that had some tyrian mobs with mixed drops. On the luxon side of things I have never seen proof but if I were a betting man I would guess the luxon criminals faction farm. I can't think of the name but kurzick side equivalent is duel of the houses. Those guys are level 20 even today. They were farmed hard for faction when people cared and their drop table is interesting from my limited farming.
Any of these locations could be possible if you throw in something like guardian of the hunt rarity it would be easy to miss. The q7 part is nearly for sure dead but I can't prove or confirm but I swear q7 use to be a drop from lvl 16 foes super early on.

Based on q8 level drop, I would bet he farmed the slaves quest in the desolation aka the q8 dead sword farm since they are level 20 in hard mode.

unid reference although not super close. I sold an unid q8 broadsword for 50a, so i would expect less than that if you sell unid.

Highest offer I got was about 1000a in private message on my 15 vs hexed crystalline. I ended up keeping it. I also picked up a q8 13% stance crystalline recently for 150a but that isn't really a good marker for value.

Captain Krompdown even if they wouldnt dissapear imo there are ways of making some kind of limitation as I said there have been examples that are way too obvious to not know they re botted threads and the acceptance of bot data by our members is just sad. Also I Know that PhD is against buying currency for Dollars, can you explain me why you guys are fine with getting more items into collection from botters? Whats fun and nostalgic about that?
There re forums for botters and legacy wasnt one of them till now. We could aswell just allow posting bot files here if you and moderators Iaerah dont see a way of doing something about that.
What I would do is just simply take notes, you delete post when see flaming and you could delete threads that are known to be botted. I mean what else you need to know if same account posts bot data and then same items that drop from current chestrun are later on auction?
The problem is the known part. Unless they verbatim say here are my botted items for sale we can't definitively know they are botted.
It is also a situation of false positives and framing people. Then the amount of moderation work is another problem.
Hypothetical Example: I say Yoji bots and there are some potential flags. He says he doesn't and you agree with Yoji.
In this case do we ban Yoji? What about if you were the person in question?
My personal opinion is you are free to buy/sell to anyone or not for any reason per current rules. I keep a personal blacklist and also use statistical data to measure the value of a trade.
So some players I won't trade with on here.

A lot, not really since very few have been given.
Only one was active 2 years ago, to my knowledge.
Several thousand were made from the item creation exploit back in 2011 to 2012. A good chunk were banned but plenty survived.

only comparable thing in recent memory was a q9 +30 -5(20) sws that pleikki bought off the forum for 60a with no other competing bids i believe a few months ago. So around there most likely.

Even if the shield are tested, lets say there is still a chance u can get a -2stance / -2ench + 10 creature or + 10 earth/fire etc...
Even if technically you can also test all this but cmon... Thats rly a hassle to test against all creatures in the game
Not to derail but it is worth keeping in mind that tools such as toolbox can simplify testing and a full on bot can automate testing. I agree a human can do some quick tests but it becomes tedious at a certain point.

I think this is another great topic and no reason to ban the sale imo but offer education. Besides it is just another data point to identify what kind of player someone may be for my personal trading tactics.

I'm sorry i am late to this party, but i had like 20 guests on another party celebrating my brother's birthday.
i will be 100% honest like i always was.
What i did exactly is dual account chest running for about 5 months, quite a decent amount of hours everyday, my work allowed me to do so.
i did around 500 magmas shields in this 5 months compared to Ether he just did 500 Magmas Shields in what ? 1-2 weeks?
i do use Toolbox to open chests from afar as 90% of chest runners do aswell.
It is rly easy to dual acc chest run with autowalk (ingame feature) and Toolbox in (Hell's you just Cripple the only danger to you ''Titans'' & and Outcast Shields in Rhea's crater while auto walk in Hell's)
Yes i exagerate with chesting, i have too much spare time but i never did Botting. i only have 3 accounts.
My alt ''Outcast Shields'' it was created only for that purpose alone to run Outcast chests, i know the name is suspicious but it is what it is.
My other alt for Magmas shields is not mine, is from a very good friend in real life, it has many titles, i won't ever dare to risk getting it banned doing botting bs.
i'm not mad on anybody, i am a bit suspicious cuz i play a lot sometimes. But don't acuse me of cheating whem im actually working hard.

The forums have no way to prove someone is botting even if evidence is 99.9% obvious without direct admission of guilt and thus in my opinion it is something that is a bummer but can't be enforced. By the way I am in no way saying you bot or don't bot, much like ANET's server side anticheat that looks for common patterns that fit malicious behavior.

I want everyone using toolbox banned from game and gw legacy.
I am curious if this extends to people in your own guild or friends guilds? Obviously you don't have control over what happens on legacy or most of the game but you do have control over people in your guild. So do you actively remove players that bot or use toolbox in your own guild where you do control the situation? I am mainly curious if you enforce your beliefs where you do have control.

What I am going to say is in no way affiliated or associated with Legacy and honestly I should be banned. To add to this discussion at what point do we draw the line?
Super obvious botting example that comes up over and over on here:
1. Large UNID lots of items
2. Said UNID lots constantly refill faster than humanly possible.
3. Constant OMFG look at my luck today threads.
4. When asked oh no problem bro I run chests 12 hours a day year round.
So lets pick some low hanging fruit that is easily found right now.
The real irony is thanks to ether who is allegedly botting and providing data we have a fair idea what this player is doing with this alt account. So I am curious what people really think we should do? Legacy can't control things in game so what would a proposed solution be that isn't a clusterfuck and waste of time witch hunt?

The ship sailed on botting in the first few months of release. Anet made it clear they really didn't care and at this point they won't even harvest low hanging fruit like HA.
Far more devastating things have happened exploit wise than 100k bots could do in 1000 years. No one can prove items are botted but just infer a high probability without verbatim admission of guilt.
My advice is enjoy the game however gives you fun. Even these massive bot farms can't catch up to 16 year strong power traders in wealth.

Ether obviously this data is being pulled from botting, however I was wondering if you were planning to do all zones? This is the kind of data that would allow us some day to restart the guild wars lan project when the servers go down.

Nahpui explorable would be a good one to do in normal mode. See how many q8 shields/swords pop in around 50k chests with a chance at some unicorns.

Bear with me here because this logic is founded on something that sounds impossible but I remember the posts quite strongly, although I can’t track them down.
Wasn’t there a purple r6 15-21 crystalline? I recall that from gwguru, was that real? Given the current r7 max for swords is 14-20 iirc, could that imply that such shields could exist?
I was the owner of the q7 15-21 gold crystalline a long time ago but i don't recall a purple like that.

I have been thinking about min max combos for weapons. We have plenty of examples of prenerf weapons such as q7 15-22 swords, but do we have any known examples of shields breaking the norm? An example would be a q4/13 shield rather than modern day q4/12. I am mainly interested in the lower requirements as I know for sure on the q7/16 shields. Another interesting one would be q6/15 shields if they were possible. Q6/15 is extra interesting as q6/11 focuses can exist already postnerf.
