Other notes: Zehtuka's Horn is customized on acquisition, you'll need to get your own. You also have Darkroot's Daggers listed twice, but with a different french name for each.

^ Neither of the purple crystallines are prenerf, unfortunately. The only ones that are are the q8 shadow shield and q7 defender (and the war hammer, if and only if it has the ram's hammer skin). Of the rest, the undead eternal shield is the biggest draw, followed by the q9 caster chaos axe.

You might also want to check out this thread if you have any greens. Probably something you're not aware of but definitely worth a look.

    Good luck!

The dedicated gray giant, asura, and varesh in the first image would see a little interest.

Also from the first image, G and Z are prenerf. Not the greatest, of course, but still. (Z is actually almost really nice...any other second mod would've made a big difference)

Those are about it from the first image unless I've glanced over something.

From the second image, the only potentially valuable items are: Spiriteater, Urgoz's Shortbow, Brightclaw, Zarnas' Wrath, Urkal's Kamas, and Illyana's Mirror. All of those are known to have prenerf versions. See this thread for details on those. Hukhrah's Staff also has prenerf versions, but the one in this screenshot is postnerf, based on the stats shown. Please let me know if you'd like help identifying them.

Other than those, Kerrsh's staff is somewhat popular generic hero staff. Should be able to get around 10e for it. Same with the Walking Stick maybe. The rest of the greens I'd just keep for personal use or sell to whoever is looking for random greens. Not really anything special.

Many of the concept art images you linked are in the style of Kekai Kotaki. There's a wiki page with a lot of his work shown (and I'm sure he's got like his own site somewhere with more of it). Pretty important dude when it came to making gw look the way it does.

The bottom section of screenshots are indeed from early alpha versions of the game, and are taken from the E3 2003 demo shown here. If you look closely, you can see some "modern" skins shown in it: Colossal Scimitar, Fiery/Gladius, and a Crenellated Sword. It's a wonder why they didn't show up until years later. Hope that helps :)

Wait, the chaos axe should also be prenerf. The stats/req/inherent are all still possible, but postnerf OS golds haven't been proven to drop with a gold value that high either. Highest I've seen/personally gotten dropped is 452. Pretty sure 468 is past the current limit (which might be like 456 or 460?) idk, maybe Red Fireball could say

Huge update and important announcement: Prophecies is finished!

Almost exactly a year ago, when Bortak's Bone Staff was found, the Prophecies catalogue was down to just Ivor's Staff remaining. But we've finally got proof of one.

Added the following 17 (!) items to the confirmed list.

    • Ivor's Staff
    • Razorfin's Axe
    • Meynsang's Longbow
    • Inallay's Hornbow
    • Royen's Hornbow
    • Arbor's Earth Staff (2nd version)
    • Bizzr's Fury
    • Chan's Greed
    • Foulfist's Focus
    • Swiftspell's Staff
    • Mina's Gaze (very very subtle, but icon is easier to see than weapon itself)
    • Deeproot's Sorrow
    • Hanaku's Focus
    • Onata's Shards
    • Miki's Staff * (See notes below)
    • Brightclaw
    • Cho's Vice

Massive boost to the thread. A few things to note:

    • Phi's Wisdom was removed from the potential category and added to the "no prenerf" category. Most of the above additions were from someone who says they farmed them back in the day. All of his green staves were 2nd version, suggesting they were farmed early on, before the secondary update before Nightfall released. His Phi's showed no difference when compared to a postnerf one (I was thinking maybe a slight color change, but it seems to use the default color for that skin -- hard to test for as it was a pvp only skin)
    • Miki's Staff was moved from the "no prenerf" category to the confirmed list. Oddly enough, I've had one of these for several months and never even realized it. A guy named Ponder PM'd me saying he found one that was different and it was (huge thanks!). I checked one I had bought from someone a while back (who had other prenerf greens) and turns out it was also different. No idea how I didn't notice it at the time, but hey.
      • A note about this staff though. It has no color change, mod order change, or change of mods (like Ziinjuu's or the potential Sanhan's). Instead, the postnerf is just a direct upgrade from the prenerf. This is the only staff (or green in general) I've seen with this kind of change. Not sure what to make of it, so I did some digging.
      • On the list of factions unique items, we can see at the bottom in the non-max section, the original edits for Sanhan's Staff, Ziinjuu's Sanctuary, and Miki's Staff all show their prenerf stats. However, when clicking on the individual item pages for them, they show the correct/updated stats. Edits for those pages seem to have been done sometime in early/mid 2007 to show the new stats, but the general list wasn't fixed. Looking at all the other non-max/Shing Jea greens, none of them are any different than their postnerf counterparts. Of course, that's not a 100% guarantee that they won't have prenerfs, but that page is the only "evidence" I've seen for Miki's, not including the now-known in-game copies.

I've added a note to the top of the "no prenerf" section just to say it's not 100% certain (but like 99.999% certain...), because I've been wrong a few times, so please ask if you have questions about an item on that list.

All that said, there are an estimated 13 left to find. Just Sanhan's Staff (heh...) and 12 other 3rd version staves (oh boy...).

I don't reasonably expect to find all of these, but I think it's fair to say we now have about as close to a complete catalogue as we may ever have, with very few, if any, questions left unanswered. 93% of the suspected items have been found. 180 confirmed out of 193 suspected.

It's taken about 2.5 years to put this together. I've been much busier irl recently, and with this latest update, I'll definitely be toning down the hunt for new ones (though there are still several I would like...). If anyone comes across something new, I'll gladly update the thread with it.

Until then, thanks to all who helped along the way. I'll try to get a list of people up sometime. Hope you enjoy.

    Much love,

    Unholy :)

The “nerf” in question was actually several different updates, almost all of which occurred before or with the release of Nightfall.

The specifics of what was (and what now isn’t) possible are explained in the link below in detail.

    Prenerf

As always, questions are welcome if you have any, and can be posted here, in general discussions, or in the respective categories you see linked in the prenerf subforum.

The golds are nothing of note. Feel free to merch them if you don’t want them.

Of these greens, the Droks fire staff would probably be the most valuable. Droknar’s Keys (the item you exchange for these weapons) are currently going for like 40-45e, but the weapons themselves usually trade for less than that.

The other 3 greens may see an ecto or two if you find someone interested (although, the Deldrimor bow is customized).

If you have any other greens laying around, check out the link to the prenerf thread in my signature and compare them to the info there. Any of those would be worth more.

Ohhh, I got you. About the categories then...idk. Hard to prove something can't happen.

But it does seem like greens and non-green items (weapons and armor) are in a (combined?) category separate from other things (Judging by my 2 greens + 2 non-greens + scroll and Crayon's 3 greens + 1 non-green + trophy). Both still at the 4 item limit (that maybe only applies to weapons/armor?) but dipping into another category. Would be nice to see if 5 items of just weapons/armor can happen. Say like 3 greens + 2 whites or whatever.

I remember him posting that screenshot...so lucky. Idr the last time I had a triple green drop from Sorrow's.

Maybe it's those two and then like a miscellaneous category for scrolls, trophies (like the enslavement stone in Crayon's screen), tomes, etc? I'm thinking this category would still be separate from festival drops though. Because like normally regular enemies can only drop 1 weapon/armor + a misc item like a lockpick or tome, right? But during the anniversary event I know they can drop multiple event items, pushing past their usual limit.

I hadn't thought of quest items. Good point. But I don't think any of the eligible bosses for this have any quest items do they? Guess you could try testing it on other bosses that do just to see what's what though. As for loot scaling, pretty much all of my screenshots above were done solo + 7 heroes, so they're at least full party. Whether or not human vs hero matters...idk.

a charr blade storm can drop a tower shield, a crude shield or a wooden buckler - yet he cannot drop a tower shield, a crude shield AND a wooden buckler.

But a charr blade storm isn't a boss. A boss could drop all 3 of those at once, couldn't it? Or are you thinking no because they're all the same weapon type? In that case we could maybe substitute weapons for armor pieces. I have screenshots (somewhere..gotta find em), of a boss dropping 3 of the same armor pieces at once (all 3 white from a jade boss, and another time with all 3 of them gold from a corsair boss).

As for grapes/blues/armors etc, I kinda just grouped them together under the "3 non-greens" bullet point, because I thiiink those are from the same "pool" in that category? And I ignored gold coins because they don't actually show up in the chat log as "X drops 123 gold coins."

As for the 4 item limit from bosses (which wiki also lists as the limit), I have this screenshot of a single Darkness dropping 5 items (all of them regular everyday/nonevent items). If you look closely, you can see the names of the other two Darknesses in the background, still alive. So these 5 are all from 1 of them.

True on the "probably would've seen a screenshot of it by now" point. But the upper limit of this, if it is possible, would be from a select few bosses, during what, 2 weeks out of the year, that people would then have to care enough about to actually screenshot and post somewhere. Maybe maybe, but def makes it a little more unlikely that we'd have seen it.

Ok galaxy-brain gamers, help me out here.

This would have to take place during the anniversary event, and would (I think) be limited to bosses that can drop 3 greens at once.

So, any of green-dropping bosses in Grenth's Footprint or Sorrow's Furnace, the Darknesses in Tombs, or Vraxx The Condemned in CoF.

    Drops would include:

    • 3 non-green weapons
    • 3 green weapons
    • 1 experience scroll
    • 2 different passage scrolls (uw & fow)
    • Elite tome (anyone know if 2+ tomes are possible from a single boss?)
    • 3 50 point consumables (party beacon + delicious cake + battle isle iced tea)
    • 10 other birthday-related consumables (hard apple cider + hunter's ale + krytan brandy + bottle rocket + champagne popper + sparkler + cupcake + honeycomb + sugary blue drink + victory token)
    • Up to 2 creature-related trophies (icy lodestone + stone summit badge for Flint Fleshcleaver, as indicated by wiki. Don't honestly remember if he can drop both or not. All others would just have 1, I think?)
    • lockpicks (2 from one boss is confirmed, thinking 3 should be possible?)
    • Crafting material (thinking just bones from Vraxx, not sure about others?)
    • Diessa Chalice/Golden Rin Relic (from Vraxx, if he drops them? Not sure. Can you even get both from a single enemy?)

    By this count I'm getting:

    • 28 "lines" of possible drops from Vraxx, assuming he drops crafting materials + trophies (bones + undead bone maybe?) and chalice + relic.
    • If he doesn't drop chalices or relics, but does drop mats + trophy (or vice versa), then he'd be tied with Flint at 26 lines, assuming Flint drops both icy lodestones and summit badges.
    • If Flint doesn't drop both trophies, and Vraxx only drops 1 out of the list of chalice/relic/mats/trophy, then they're tied with all other 3-green bosses at 25 lines.

Thoughts? Anything I missed? What's the most any of you have seen at one time?

Here's a few screenshots to get us started.

A boss can drop experience scrolls and passage scrolls at the same time.

    47070-pasted-from-clipboard-png.png

A boss can drop both passage scrolls at the same time.

    47071-pasted-from-clipboard-png.png

A boss can drop multiple 50 point consumables at the same time.

    47073-pasted-from-clipboard-png.png

A boss can drop multiple other birthday-related consumables at the same time, and not limited to one of a single category. (2 non-50s from alcohol in this screen)

    47074-pasted-from-clipboard-png.png

A boss can drop multiple rares at the same time (and still drop greens).

    46425-pasted-from-clipboard-png

Select bosses can drop up to 3 greens at the same time. (I actually don't have any screenshots of triple green drops besides those from Tombs, but it's hard to tell what's what because the Darknesses are all the same name.)

If we want to include the quantity of each individual drop, then bosses can also drop...

Up to 3 of a given trophy:

    47076-pasted-from-clipboard-png.png

At least 2 (presumably up to 3?) lockpicks at the same time:

    47075-pasted-from-clipboard-png.png

Anyone know if a boss can drop more than 1 elite tome at a time? Proof would be nice.

To my knowledge Jormungand is the rarest boss in the game (which also makes his green hammer the rarest post-nerf green in the game).

Surprisingly, wiki info on him is still super scarce despite EotN being 15+ years old. So let's change that!

He's kind of like Maw the Mountain Heart in that he can spawn in several places in several maps, but only very rarely does. But unlike Maw in Dreadnought's, Jormungand has no set spawn location at all.

In all the time I've spent in EotN since it released, I've seen him exactly 3 times. All 3 times were in Bjora Marches. Unfortunately the screenshots of these spawns are on old machines I no longer have, but I'll go ahead and mark their locations on the Bjora map.

The idea here is for anyone else who encounters him to post screenshots of the location so we can have a better record of them (to then mark on wiki). I'll update the maps with spawn points as the screenshots come in (hopefully we're lucky enough).

Bonus points if any of the sightings can confirm whether or not there were other spawns of a single Frozen Elemental or Frost Wurm on the map in the instance you got Jormungand to spawn. Wiki suggests those might be mutually exclusive with Jormungand spawning. The two "recent" times I saw him, I didn't see either of the single spawns. When Jormungand spawns, he will always spawn with 2 other Frost Wurms.

Wiki also only mentions the 4 maps below, but if anyone can prove that he can spawn in Jaga Moraine or Ice Cliff Chasms, please do!

    Hey all,

This is a thread I've wanted to start to hopefully showcase answers and examples to questions and curiosities people may have about various things in the game.

    The idea is simply this:

Person A: requests screenshot of (literally anything in the game, item, event, drop, spawn, etc).

Person B: quotes the original request (so we know who's answering what) and responds with a screenshot of the requested whatever.

    For example:

One screenshot I know I saw many many years ago was an old one of someone opening the Lost Strongbox/Frozen Chest in Dreadnought's Drift and it saying something like:

Opening the [Chest name] reveals a...

Opening the [Chest name] reveals a...

Opening the [Chest name] reveals a Crystalline Sword

Opening the [Chest name] reveals a...

And the person going like "OMG [stuff]" to someone else in PMs. I haven't been able to find that screenshot again (and that's also the only screenshot I've ever seen of any of the old unlocked chests, not just the ones in Dreadnought's). So, if anyone has any screenshots of these, I'd love to see them :)

    Another example could be like:

Person A: Hey I've never seen [creature] drop [item]. Anyone seen it?

    Person B: [Check it]

    I'll start us off!

    Show me a screenshot of...

Request 1: Any old unlocked chests anywhere in prophecies.

Request 2: Any Paper Lantern dropping on Shing Jea Island (from an enemy or chest).

Request 3: Any bosses from Sunjiang District (Mission) and Raisu Palace (mission) dropping their greens. I've seen the bosses in Arborstone (mission) do it, but never these.

Request 4: Shen, the Magistrate dropping a Tattered Fan. Wiki says it's a thing, but I haven't seen it yet.

Interested in seeing where this goes. Have fun :)
