Wow, nice set Purely. And huge props for customizing that Broadsword. (Also to Coffee for the Spatha and EK for the Sephis Axe)
I've never had the cash to get involved with the high end collecting market, so I hesitate to judge people who don't customize. But I like to think I'd have the stones to do so with something so preposterously rare. Now Pleikki needs to drop 10g on that Long Sword!

Missed the q9 Water. I'll take that as well please. (Double post since he's updating constantly by post)
Thanks for the trade!
I'll take 5 stacks of clovers please.

I was REALLY excited to get these - was dreaming of the 250e but then I identified... the game hates me.
A stack of ecto for blue q6 daggers? Seriously?
100e on the Str Gothic
Wow, that Paper Fan is impressive, Ducky. Congratulations.
Bump.
Domination Plat Wand, Sea Purse Shield, and the tomes will be sold this weekend if there are no further bids.
New one today, but I can't figure out their spelling. I added "C0M" to my filter, which works for the moment.
It's "GAMËBLACKMARKËT,C0M" but the first "M" isn't actually an "M". It's possible that it's the greek Mu but I couldn't get the alt code for it to work - from what I could find, it's supposed to be Alt+924, but that gives me the British pound currency symbol.
The people are effing exhausting. Ideally, someone at ANET would do a massive Dhuum sweep on the bots and gold sellers, but I can understand that at this point in the game's life that may be a pipe dream. But going to great lengths to get around the filters of people who wish they'd die in a fire makes zero sense. It's just trolling.
Personally, I've never understood why inscribable junk that has a theoretically limitless supply has managed to maintain such high prices to begin with. A Canthan or Tyrian non-insc wand or focus that drops in q9 with matching 20/20 is a million times more rare than a shitty BDS (I also think the BDS is one of the ugliest staff skins in the game, but obviously there's no accounting for personal taste).
My question is this, though: Are people actually buying Eternal Blades and BDS's at those preposterous prices? I mean, I could advertise in Kama that I was selling a q13 +14/stance Plagueborn Sword for 10a, but it's not like there'd be a line forming to trade for it. What are the chances that the market is actually much less than the "WTS" ads?
Also, there aren't many high-end collectors on Legacy who'd ever be interested in inscibable stuff, so who is making this hypothetical market? Is it SC people selling to other SC people? Maybe, I guess. High-end oldschool collectors and serious SC'ers would likely make up most of the players with that kind of buying power.
Again though, it's all a mystery to me. I'd much rather have a nice Canthan non-insc, and I tend to think of people drooling over "high-end" inscribable stuff as slightly mentally ill.

Last call for the Wooden Buckler before it goes to Woo.
Thanks Looney.
What is it with these people, anyway? What's the point of trying to get around someone's chat filter? Presumably, if a player goes to the trouble of updating a personal chat filter to get rid of gold sellers, they're not going to be a potential customer. Am I missing something, or...?
Took me a while, but got it up to date.
Bump!
Wow, amazing set Oofus.
Bump! Added a wand, still looking for the rest.
100e to start on the Str Gothic
Not a bad little offhand for a Spirit Spammer. And only the second perfect dual mod Jug I've every had drop.
Yeah, I'm aware. I wasn't suggesting it's a great idea to outfit every caster hero with a physical weapon. I've noticed that it's a fairly common suggestion on PvX though.
I guess I should clarify. Do we "know" this through player observation (anecdotal), because some industrious player or guild made a combat parser and tested it on 2000 pulls, or because John Stumme (or someone else at ANet) said so?
Let's go full anecdotal. There are lots of chest runners around. While chestrunning, do you still get hit with caster hate (Arcane Conundrum/Backfire/Guilt etc) while using spear/sword/axe and a shield? Do you still get hit with blind/weakness when you switch to a high-energy staff?
So the common thought is that if caster heroes are equipped with (for instance) a spear and shield, they are less likely to get hit with caster hate from mobs.
I've been away from the game for so long that I can't recall the details. Is this confirmed to be 100% true, or is it anecdotal via players? And assuming it is true, what is the extent? Like, will they 100% not be the target of anti-caster spells? Also, is it based on mainhand only, or both? Meaning, would spear/focus yield the same result?
