I've always liked the skin - very realistic shield for a warrior (even though the application in open combat is dubious and other models would seem more historically appropriate). But I justify it for my collection because strength is the primary attribute of the warrior and if you want to get a full collection of all the possible mods on one skin you need to choose a core skin - among which the tower shield/defender is the only one that requires strength.

502 tells me it is inscribable, gold rarity, has a increased sale value inscription, the version you have adds 74g, the base item (if you'd remove the inscription or replace it by another inscription) has a value of 428g, which then tells me it was 54g unid or higher, which is possible on any lvl20+ mob, just a bit unlikely.

so in summary: items with very high value are somewhat rare but do not bear any significant value - different story for base value above 488g, because then it can not happen on mobs. also clean value 500, 600 and 700g items will in fact have an audience, but even then it is not so valueable.

but yeah there is some interesting things happening. blue range is 0-50%, purple 50-80% and gold 85-100% along the range iirc.

table for the value ranges of all the armor values as far as I have data - lacking some esp on the low end purples and as to where gold start dropping, will see if I can find any.

welcome to GW! indeed mostly useless stuff, you can salvage a few mods for some ecto like the forget me not 19% (3-5e) and maaaaybe try sell the cute bow with 15%/-1 ene reg for some ecto. else I'd personally merch everything.

I think it is just a regular opressor staff that anyone can get for 10 medals of honor or 250 war supplies, which are valued at about 15e.

apparently people however buy those staves at 1-2a in kamadan, so you can try to find a buyer.

the mods would be worth 1-3e. you can also salv and sell those.

or you can just use the staff yourself. idk why you "got" it in first place?

mauso would have 2 inherent mods and a health focus core. two mods in same category (cond reduc) is never a dropped item. also there is no gold value displayed so it is not identified and still has inherent stats - another definite indicator of quest/collector.

Assuming limited exponential growth at the average rate over those 15years, I should be doen to the last shield in 153 years. Not as bad even! I'd be 9% down the road!

I know people that ran 100000 chests with q8 possibility without ever getting a sword. and you get two gold ones within 2 weeks? say the rate were 1 in 100000 and you'd chestrun with 8 accs continously between those two. you would still be a little short statistically! that's how lucky that is. fuck.
