aye - the shadow shield is the star of the show. I've rarely seen such a sexy prenerf shield - do not sell it in a rush or to any pms without taking your time to look for other offers. Tough to put a price - but I wouldn't sell below 10a (=800e currently)
The GDA and Gothic sword have undesireable dmg mods and are relatively common - put them on a hero or try sell for 5e - but will be tough - I personally would merch them.

No rocket science really - you just don't qccept any quest reward that is unnecessary to get it at lvk 7 or you hack yourself there.
stone summit and troll are both rather desired, the 10/-2wE is very popular - I'd see this go higher easily - but hugely depends on who wants it and how much they gonna bid. I would put it for auction and see where things go. Just don't rush to sell it. I'd think 5a should come easily (that's because I see myself interested - amongst others also mentioned - and what I'd readily give for it)

The rarity adds a multiplier to an items value at identifocation. Blue/white is factor 1, purple blue, gold 4. Hence you can easily compare: a 100g blue is as rare as a 400g gold. So not too rare 
recently got a 256g purp - that compares to a 512g gold - closer but still not insane
From what I know a blue can roll up to 120g ident without improved sale value on it - that is if you know where to look for it and then spend ages there
Edit: there of course is a difference - most "insanely high valued golds" come from nf treasures - like my 256g purp - and those treasures do not drop blues. So you have to compare it to "regular" golds

Os caster items are 95% collectors desires - and they want 20/20 or at least 20/10. Ofc that foc is pretty damn rare - were anyone looking for those stats specifically - but no one is. For usage as mr clean pointed the go to option is a 40/40, 20/20, defensive set maybe a high ene set. You are arguing that you don't need a defensive set and hence yours would be useful. But you miss the point that your argument invalidates the armor mod as useful as well. So what you are left with is a 10% hsr mod for use on a core skin item at high req.
If you personally value it 50e - fair enough. You can put it for sale for that price. But we are trying to give you a value you can sell it for - be it justified or not from a rarity/usefulness perspective or not.

yeah those are cool and just recently I learned from Fenrir el Gris that they are moddable. If identifying one of them and adding a handle one couldn't tell the difference between it being a proof of a gold/purp shield that just dropped regularly but turned out to have no insc slot and one that came from said battleplan mission. - hence the question about insc area exclusives to be able to prove the point

Actually you can take any white dropped shield from nf or eotn, apply a handle and - magic - it gets blue! That easy. Also a tiny difference if you do it this way - it doesn't portray a gold value - looks very clean!

as stated - as good as a post nerf q8 gold staff gets (a purp could have 20HSR but just 18HCT - gw is fun at numbers on staves)
Holy Branch is a very common skin, but the prot hct is one of the most useful. Definitely put for sale - tough to tell a range, but I'd roughly narrow it down to 20-150e if that helps

So for tower shield and defender the system seems to be: towers in low level areas, defenders in high level areas. Ascalon, northern shiverpeak, kryta, maguuma, shing jea - I have only gotten tower shields, crystal desert drops both and then southern shiverpeak, ring of fire, kaineng I have only seen defenders - but far too little research done as to be sure. BUT popular farms and the market come at help: WOC farmers only sell defenders, nolani farmers onl towers, feather farmers only tower again. Also I have never seen a gold or purple defender with less than 16 armor nor a blue one with less than 13ar. Hence there is some system apparently, but the exacts are still evading me after all those years...

Im pretty sure armors gold value generates same way as normal weapons, Red Fireball could confirm this, but nf treasures can drop gold items up to like 680g so guess basically someting like that

I went through some old guru and wartower threads few years ago. It is interesting how they are a mixture of stuff anyone would instantly merch today and stuff that is extremely valueable to almost unheard off or priceless. Side by side. And the prices between the two don't differ that much especially q8 to q9 - back then not a big deal at all, today the factor in sale value is 100-200.
Speaks for the high demand and low supply back then opposed to oversaturated market today where anything more than one off is almost merch, perfect q9 is the standard with huge supply still and little demand after all the time and q8 being so low in supply that perfects are far more demanded than supplied. Not even speaking of q7s
Also is interesting how q8 15^50 prices between swords, bows and axes does not differ really - meaning that newly dropping q8s since the big nerf did not have any influence on prices at all - meaning the droprate is so insignificantly low that it does not impact the demand at all.

Ostona wow. Thanks a LOT! I haven't been there from day 1 either and love reading and seeing what the first days were like. Out of curiosity. But some raise sadness - for things that got nerfed, bugs I missed witnessing - mainly the few areas that could earlier be mapped but can no longer - like the proph arenas or the part during the amnoon/la flooding bug.
Anti absolutely great topic and good reasoning sword max q8 are so much rarer than shields q8 - 1 in 300000 items that could be max q8 swords will be, whilst 1 in 1500 would be a max q8 shield - that's around the comparison. So assuming darkwong and wyvern were similarly rare just by skin drop rate AND the spots for wyvern WERE equally farmed as darkwing spots - then there'd be 1 max q8 wyvern in 2000 q8 darkwings (only talking about gold inscs), whereas the second assumption is FAR beyond what actually is true - in fact the wyvern would be hell lot rarer than that even - and I couldn't say I had seen anywhere near 2000 q8 gold insc darkwings on the market, whilst there is one wyvern already - so we couldn't hope for a wyvern anytime soon for arguing it were overdue in that comparison lol. (And I know this reasoning is statistically so wrong it might cause cancer on the data analysts - sry bout that, it was more for a amusement exaggerating point I included that sentence)
