I do always use warrior. But it's more bc it's my main than it being fastest. It has some very useful skills and some nice builds. Weakness is definitely hexes, esp snares, since there is no perma on warr. A shadow form in the build will get you through many areas with snares if your timing is right. Personally I feel it is fast since you never have to maintain enchantments that need to cast plus you just take fewer damage due to armor. So for me warrior is the choice on most areas - those that I fail at due to either high spell damage or snares I use sin. It's advantages are perma. I feel weak with his lower armor and fail many runs that I succeed as warr (hells hm e.g.) but that's since I am nlt used to playing sin as much. Derv is definitely fastest runner - you can achieve permanent 50%IMS. There is couter spell options and you have the armor. Personally I think derv would currently be the most versatile option - but I don't have one. Warrior is very reliable and easy if there's mainly melee and sin when there's mainly casters. Basically I'd go for the one I enjoy playing the most, which would definitely tick sin off my list. Probably I'd even try a derv if I'd have to restart.

indeed it is the same struggle - there are at least 8other shields that carry defender in their name and around 7 of them are hard to spell... even though... darckwin... come on - you could at least read it once

And ye towers are significantly easier to search - I tend to find more of them as well ;D

    Sorted exclusions, thanks

Defender !darkwing !dartkwing !gothic !emblazoned !stygian !vaabian !vabbian !tanzit !kournan !goldleaf !darking !darkwind !vaabi !vabbin !sarkwing !darwing !eagle !darkiwind !vabian !wing !grognar !darlwind !stagian !enadiz !tranzit !ghotic !darckwin !anzit !tanznit !reinforced !darkwign !gotic !copperleaf !leaf !tanzik !emblzoned !vabbi !darkwin !goldlead !darkwring !emblazonned !stygin !kourna !gothis !aureate !eblazoned

    The struggle is real :D

    Real helpful feature!

I am wondering which wiki so many people are talking about exists that apparently lists those dmg-ranges?!

The only reliable source is me. Nah it's our community project. GW gear stat ranges and Gallery - Rebirth

It has listed 10-16 as spear max of q3. I'd still be interested in said "wiki" - can you provide a link? For future reference - try my list ;)

Edit: considering rarity: yes it's relatively rare. That doesn't directly imply valueable however - I am not the guy to answer that question.

bears01 are you the one behind that site? Is there possibility to exclude words? e.g. I collect "Defenders" but when looking for them I get mostly emblazoned, gothic, goldleaf, darkwing... defenders. being able to filter those out would be very helpful (writing "defender !emblazoned !gothic" or the likes) Or is this option already there, but I do not know how to use it?

    There´s a tower shield :O

    selling it?

I´d have it´s twin named "Defender" - same req same mods ;D

    Nice work!

these sections are the most tempting and biggest ones: condition + attrmod, attrmod + armor mod and armor mod + condition mod ;D I enjoy collecting them a lot!

Okay... the aligning Es convinced the OCD guy here :D

... and the edit comment ;)

indeed a question I had in mind as well. Also had several discussions over the years. Personally I was long convinced the number of chests in a given area is constant. Usual chestruns often skip "ineffective" corners, where there is little chance for a chest which is why e.g. in pongmei the experience of the chestrunner is as you stated. I tried to check it on a few areas and could almost always find the same number in the same area. But there were exceptions... those were which I still seem to observe - like one chest less or more than "usual".

The general experience is: larger area = more chests. But checking on that it's more a false interpretation since usually larger area = more foes or better maybe even larger area = more foe groups. Now I don't know the answer to the question of the mechanics - those are just some thoughts I am sharing.

I'd suppose the number of foes or foe groups in a given area are relevant for the number of chests spawning. For a given area I do not even know if the number of groups per area is constant. But certainly the number of foes varies. And the number of chests as well - by now I am pretty sure about that. I spent 30minutes in vulture drifts trying to find the 5th chest just few days ago since it was the first time of me not finding a 5th one in more than 200 runs where I was checking for number of chests. So I'd suppose there may be fluctuation but rather due to different spawn numbers - also checking with different quests active changes the number of chests (in certain cases significantly) which again does not relate to the number of foes exclusively.

So long story short: anet really did an awesome job on the games mechanics - the spawning and looting rngs are things that still aren't understood after what? 15 years almost. It keeps the game exciting after all the time ;)

purple q0 max items have a small audience of collectors, spears/scythes seem to be getting used even. The shields you can usually sell 15e+ depending on skin, scythes and spears even higher. Would you share the actual dmg ranges of the spear and the scythe and the skins - easiest just put a screen. There is sometimes a misconception of what is max damage. (mod edit--by updating the top post with that information)

I'd like to see you propose using slower cars to the F1 scene - to compete in the same category as faster cars.

    Finally, a reasonable idea.

    lol.

Did you ever see them complain about fuel prize? See the difference?

How many percent of population claim to be in the F1? How many of the gw community seems to be in the SC community? Another difference? Maybe reason for the disproportionate PCon pricing?

Yeah that has worked fabulously well so far. Oh wait, it didn't? Oops. Pcons are 5x the price of what they used to be, comparatively, with bots.

Ofc not. Point is years of heavy overfarming of rare skins with easy fast runs due to low pcons prices. That's why...

The market is oversaturated with rare items at this point, it's hard to buy or sell anything at reasonable prices at this point.

You're writing my arguments. Market will take months or years to react to that.

Some will, sure, most will probably quit. The items are still obtainable so records can't be reset, but records are out of the question because we can't afford them, so where's the point in even playing? Not to mention, personally, I'm not going to play gw without cons and pcons. It's a very slow game showing it's age. Without pcons, it's even slower.

I need my diesel cheap. I mean I need my sportscar eating 13liters/100km. I won't drive without. It's just too slow. I also want the bougatti to be cheaper! I mean come on this porsche is so slow. I will go protest now. The government needs to tackle the issue. I want my bougatti. Or I'm out. Fuel taxes are outrageous. Fix them or I'm out.
Ban child labour? No way. I want my sweater at c&a for 5€. If they ban child labour - I want a vendor for sweaters at the same price. I won't pay more. If they ban child labour they need to tackle that issue.

this thread is going a bit off where it started to aim.

    My two cents:

If scs get harder since ppl can't get their pcons that will result in a rise in rare skin items wich will balance out with the additional cost of pcons.

Maybe the scers will discover that gw is more than rinse and repeat three dungeons/areas and find joy in that.

Maybe they will try to find new ways to do things without pcon.

Maybe this will get ppl back to focus that gw isn't a game like aion, where you buff yourself to immortality pretty much. If that's what you are looking for - play aion. I mean you can do pretty much anything in hm with henchies without pcons. Maybe you'll have to actually think and not use 8 permas running through everything and killing the boss - this is certainly not how the developers intended thos so I see no reason whatsoever for them to change anything. Maybe you won't be able to ball 80 lvl 28 mobs in hm and AoE spike them to death in 3 seconds - do you really think that's how DoA Hm was designed?

General strategy in life: be autonomous. If you rely on others for what you want to do - might be one day the others change their ways of doing and suddenly you're screwed. I mean what kind of mentality is that: There aren't enough others who farm pcons so I can buy them cheap! Let's blame Anet for it!

No bots is absolutely the right way.

Sorry - I couldn't hold to myself anymore reading all this here...

    celesital daggers around 25e

Actually, it's this puppy that needs the twin:

That's one of the reasons why I bid on it while it was on sale recently.

But I shouldn't even be posting this. Red has a bounty out for my little butt in several countries. I am going underground again, under different names. I may not resurface again for several months.

should I start posting here... I got his entire family! 10dem with second mods: -2wE -2wS -5/20 -3wH 45wE 60wH 30... you'd just have to let the poor fella go home see his family ;)
