when I read the thread title on the start page I had to look at it for posts like this. I haven't been disappointed!

Regarding the answering of the question:

It depends on a lot:

What is your role in the team? What is your build? What is your class? How much damage can you withstand? How much damage do you deal? How feebly are your opponents? Is it PvP or PvE? Do you play with henchies, players or solo?

Depending on all the above you will be: Puller, tank, support, AoE, singletarget takeout, spike damage, etc...

There's no general behaviour that always applies except - in the end you "Get [weapon], hit stuff"

As puller (only in PvE) you cast your protection type skills and draw a specific group to a proper spot to koill them. As tank you'll cast your protection type skills, collect as many mobs as your party can handle, pull them to a proper spot and block esp the melee from your team with weaker armor than yourself. As support you stand alongside your midline and well - support (imbagon and the likes). For AoE you go to the densest populated spot and hit those AoE skills while also keeping yourself alive (often in easier areas you are AoE and tank). For singletarget takeout you select your target (usually a monk or a dmg-heavy caster - you'll have to conclude which one is yours with the team) and do everything in your power to prevent it from doing what it is supposed to do (usually with rupts, knockdown, blind, dazed or reduction of movement speed). As spiker you select the agreed on target and either wait for the call or call if you're the caller and the hit it with everything you have (usually initialized with a knockdown, cracked armour or other ways to weaken said target).

As solo farmer usually it is either like the AoE/tank/support combination or the spike damage/tank combination.

With henchies you are usually in the tank/singletarget takeout/spike damage region, where you really want to take out monks and damageheavy casters first, or if useful in the specific area rather puller/tank/AoE, where you ball as many mobs as possible and hit hard - best if the casters/monks can be balled.

The melee is very versatile and can do many jobs - it depends on everything around you what suits best.

But still... I have only ever opened each end chest once (since I wanted full HoM) and else than that only been solofarming during favor and chestrunning when no favor. But I have never gotten a q8 sword, never a q8 foc anywhere near as good as yours, never a rare skinned shield with mods as good as your eternal...

But ye I barely got time to play, still I have killed millions of low level mobs and opened tens of thousands low lvl chests...

well what should I say... do you want to let me run your account so I can find out if it's the ip-adress or the account that is linked to the insane drops? I mean... that paper fan, q8 sword, q8 shield and then this... this is absurd! GZ

First I got approached by Aliana, who had gotten a lovely shield in a chestrun and felt it belonged with me. Thanks So much for this! Then Kabong came across another one and bought it for me. Thanks so much the two of you! Now I can say canthan creatures +10 +30 Defenders - complete "That's one small step for mankind, one giant leap for me." - or how did that go again? Thanks to everyone else who has recently helped me out ingame with so many new shields - this is amazing - I´m almost 20% complete on the list for all 915 mod combinations - wohooo! (Okay it will take a while...)

Second I found an amazing shield in Keitax' thread and I knew I had to have it. Since I didn´t have the funds at hand he was kind enough to allow me some extra time until the trade - this is awesome - thanks for that :> I told Pyro ingame about my plannings and he helped me raise some funds - went through my collection with me and pointed to potential buyers for duplicates. And all of a sudden I had the necessary 20a for the thing - and damn was it worth it! Thanks a lot to everyone involved: Pyro, Bradols, Keitax mainly! This is the birth of a new collection...

Well after writing - does this rather belong in collections thread - idk it was more the treatment of the community that I wanted to thank for by this and that´s why I leave it here. But one day I´ll find time to screen the Towers and Defenders and post in collections thread again but the time...

There´s definitely some collectors for things like these (hello...!).

I think most important info has been posted already. Lowest level mobs that drop gold items are lvl12. They drop q3 gold/purple items at lowest (except purple staves, those are a different story). They are the only foes that can drop q3 gold items - so those are really top notch. Generally over level the chances for gold items increase. Krytan chests can at lowest generate q4 golds, they are lvl14. I guess q3 max items from lvl12 are compareable to q8 max shields from lvl20 - but I have too few data as to underline this statement. A good spot to farm for low golds are sensali on shing jea island. In Prophecies lvl12s are a little underrepresented - at least farmable ones.

My personal favorites are my 12/4 skull shield +10plant +30 and a 12-16 q4 caster Forked sword

whalekin is a few ecto to few collectors - I'd assume the 5-30e region.

The tatooed scimmy is rather wanted skkn, none max q8 is known and only a hand full of 15-21s is... on the other hand this one is only purple. Considering this I'd assume a price of 50-100e to be realistic - maybe far more in a bidwar

that stance magmas is certainly one of the sexiest shields out there! I've always loved that "heavy" collection

I doubt it'll get more precise than what OST and Pleikki said. Ghostly is a wanted skin - rather prestige considering it's rarity and the difficulty to farm. Being a multiproffession skin a matching perfect q9 version is top notch, popular attribute fire adding even more. I'd expect 30a to come easily, 50a with a second of patience, more - even much more possible with given interest. An auction will tell you precisely how much you get (if you want to sell)
