I think the issue is that you're focusing on things with prices when there are items that are literally priceless.
You're talking about sales when there are items that people just won't sell.
There are items that have, for good reason, only been available in sale or trade once or twice (or a small handful of times) in the entire history of the game. Those are the rarest, most difficult-to-acquire items in the game. The answer you're looking for is there.

The supply/demand dictates pricing in this game doesn’t it? So technically couldn’t the demand for a mini be way higher than the rarest wep? Personally I haven’t seen an extremely rare OS wep be sold for more than one of the rarest minis, but open to hear of stories of it happening!

The only place I’ve seen one for sale is online via guildwars marketplace shops or the Black Market Shop for like $120.

Got it! Smart investor! So back to the original question: most expensive item IN GAME live today would be dictated by availability, correct? So if there is an unded polar bear available that might be it, but if an unded kanaxai became available from a returning player, that would for sure be the staple, right?
