Update -- April 2, 2025

Hello friends!

The 20th Anniversary of Guild Wars is approaching on April 28th, 2025! This year, our annual Anniversary Celebration festival will start a week earlier than usual - beginning on April 15th and running through May 6th.

On April 15th, we're also releasing a special anniversary update that includes:

• Permanently adding previously limited weapons to world drop tables
• New permanent quests that reward untradeable copies of certain limited-release miniatures when you revisit classic content
• And you'll want to keep your eyes open for some other new loot appearing as you hunt for weapons.

This is your chance to complete your collections, revisit your greatest triumphs, and hunt for exciting new loot!

We'll share more details next week. Get ready to celebrate 20 years of Guild Wars!

I'm a graphic designer and I find this new font horrible. Could it be an April fool's joke? The old font was much more classic and readable, now it looks like a cartoon font or a font for children's school work.

At the very least, they could do a 50% discount on the entire GW store, which doesn't require any programming, and it's about time they did it on every birthday and Christmas.

As for the rest, apart from a sales hotel, the last non-existent boss in an elite zone (FoW), attributes missing from some skins, even weapons missing from skins (an eternal javelin for example) and ... but no, I'm dreaming and even that will take me 1 hour maximum to pulverize this new content and return to my (normal) life.

I haven't tested that on Windows, I assume it works the same - on Linux it works.

The command line arguments will only work with a shortcut, not on the original GW launcher.

If you want to be sure you're investing in the right items, you need to know what items are limited in the game today. It's easy, though, and you don't need to ask 10,000 questions. The rarer an item is in terms of copies, or the fact that it can no longer be obtained in the game (prenerf), the higher its value is likely to rise over time. Taking into account the time when you could duplicate items. How many Pandas are available today (?) good question, at least not the number Arena created for the players who earned them back then. (But nothing's impossible... who knows if a duplicate doesn't exist today... let's not forget that GW2 also had duplicate)

The real question is: how much do you have to invest, because these items are expensive. 1k armbraces? 10k armbraces? more? If it's just a few stacks of ectoplasm or one stack of armbraces, it won't be enough. And given the demand and supply, you'll never be able to keep up with the botters who've amassed far more than you over the years. If that's the case, you've already lost out on before starting your investment.

All golds -> merch, greens for heroes or donation.

I would add that 400gv is not enough. Here with these skins, you'd need to be not only q9 but with more interesting basic stats. And find a buyer who wants these skins with a 400gv.
