A question on selling on GW Legacy

  • Hi All,

Currently selling some items and got a warning for bumping too early, so wanted to confirm some things on here as couldn't see them on the rules (or I'm just blind)

    1. When BUMP(ing) a thread, what is the timescale from when the post is created until you can do your first bump?

    2. If I have sale items up on a thread, am I allowed to add additional items to the original thread, or do I wait until the original thread is completed?

Apologies in advance if this is not where this post should be.

Appreciate any help that is given.

    Many thanks in advance

    IABATG

  • Hello, the rules are explained here:

https://guildwarslegacy.com/forum/xunlai-marketplace-rules/ - It is the top sub-forum in the Xunlai Market section.

    1) 24hrs must pass since the previous post you make in your thread.

    Bumping

Bumping is the act of the thread creator posting so that the thread returns to the top of the forum list.

    • Any post that you make in your thread is considered a bump.
    • Once you have submitted a thread/post you must wait at least 24 hours before posting again in your thread.

    2) You can edit any post or title at any time. It is common to add and remove items from a Selling thread.

    Regards

  • I assume because the forum is searchable just having a static selling page or shop that you just keep on top of updating would be fine without the need to bump?

Sure. It depends how different users use the forum. Will people use the same search terms. If you use images they're not searchable. How much detail do you want to describe in a post.

Are people going to bother searching or just scroll/view recent posts/threads.

People can manage their thread/search how they wish.
