With or without Legacy, it's too late. Players have seen how high the prices can get. Everyone knows it. That won’t stop those who want to from trying to pay a high price for a name. And honestly, when you’re willing to put up xxx or xxxx armbraces for a single-word name, it means you have a lot more in reserve. It doesn’t matter if the trade doesn’t go through. It’s a drop in the bucket.
To me, this also marks the end of a cycle. There will be a “before” and an “after” 2weeks/reforged. Just as there was a ‘before’ and an “after” when GW2 was released (mass exodus from GW1). In short, it’s going from bad to worse. I’ve been saying for years that Anet shouldn’t mess with the game’s code anymore, or else they’d end up creating problems. That’s so true today.
I've seen quite a few newbies running around pre-Ascalon as well as Shing Jea Island, which is a healthy sign even if some parts of the game might be going south... Let's not make forums that are meant to assist and welcome new and old players alike turn into sleazy speakeazies... It's still a classic, fun game, and I think it has a few years left. Give it a chance. Change is always difficult![]()
