You can always share how are you doing this. Otherwise its just words. ;)

I used a slight variation of this build: https://gwpvx.gamepedia.com/Build:Team_-_7…_Caster_Support

Just cleared everything in an anticlockwise direction. Most of the boss groups don't pose any problem except for Sunreach. For that I just pulled him round a corner and body blocked with spirits. Once done, go in and kill Falaharn separately. Then at the end kill Arbor Earthcall in the middle of the lake by pulling him with a longbow first. If you don't do this, the ritualists will spawn and keep healing him. Also, I used a BU and had 3x Fallback. No minions because they slow you down. That's about it.

25 minutes for a vanquish with heroes is about right. I think the best I managed was 22 minutes.

It would be so much faster with an MTSC team of course. Sadly, those don't really exist anymore.

I just tried to generate a list... but I don't think it's going to work.

With 18 letters in mmogamersmarket.com and 96 possible accents per letter (I may be wrong about the accented characters the client allows), there are 96 ^ 18 permutations. This means that just blocking mmogamersmarket.com alone would take 479603335372621236652373132533825536 lines.

At 66 bytes per line, that's 27455312445912908000 exabytes.

Clearly, it would be impossible to list every permutation in advance. All the RMTraders have to do is randomise the diacritical marks and a self-updating list would become useless.

The only real solution here, if my math is correct, is if SCW or Bill sets the chat filter to ignore diacritical marks.

Seems like not all characters are supported by the client. So that should drastically reduce the number of permutations.

yeah, I was going to mention nick gifts---some weeks people will pay for the set (trophies) so if you have tons of whatever he is collecting that week you might also make a bit of plat.

Yup and they are actually astonishingly easy to sell. One set can go for around 5 to 10 ectos depending on how difficult it is to farm.

Actually I have nothing to do with trade chat. My Discord bot simply takes the data from the website and reproduces it for your consumption in a different form. But thanks for the kind words. :)

Back on topic, the lowest hanging fruit is Nick's gifts! One gift is worth at least 5 ectos which you can sell for around 6-7k each. Every week, each account is limited to only 5 gifts so they are extremely rare (which is what makes them so valuable). In other words, if you get 5 gifts, you can make 150k in just a few hours. This week's farm is pretty easy. You can check out Peter Kadar's video for this week's farm:

Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy.

You can PM others in-game or talk to people in local chat but you can't engage with a live community of over a thousand players anywhere else.

You can ping your skill bar in-game only to people you whisper, are in a team with, your guild or your alliance. On Discord you ping it to everyone and ask for suggestions.

If the use of anonymised metadata imposes a significant cost on you I will concede your point. But it doesn't, and Discord has said it doesn't sell user data to any third parties. In any case, Discord does not follow the Facebook business model and the comparison is unfounded.

That's fine, everyone has different preferences, have fun!

Yes, Discord is ultimately still just a text/voice chat platform. The only differences are those that you have mentioned and a few more.

Discord can be run off the web browser, and on mobile devices. There's no advertising and you can send text, upload images, and use voice chat.

The major differences are:

1. User base. If everyone's on one platform, that platform allows you to reach everyone.
2. Free
3. Easier to encourage others to join as everyone has a browser and internet connection
4. You get our special server features on Discord. So things like price checking, getting daily quest info and countdowns, pinging your skill bar... These things can only be done on this server

After failing the first time round to qualify (because our community is considered too small), we've finally succeeded in getting approved by Discord for partner status! I sent them an email along with these two pictures that demonstrated why we needed it, and they agreed! http://imgur.com/a/rYmoU

So what do we get from the official Discord partnership?

• Human-readable link: https://discord.gg/gw
• Dedicated VIP voice servers which should be more stable than the public ones
• Custom splash screen
• Some other cool stuff in the future

Thank you everyone who have supported the project here. We'd definitely keep working on it.

Here's briefly what this Discord is about:

• Over a thousand registered users
• Place to chat, share builds, ask questions, help others, get into speed clears, and find/form parties for everything in the game
• You can also trade, follow a real-time feed of the Kamadan trade chat, use the bot to do price checks, get info on the day's quests, and so on...
• Discord is a free chat app designed for gamers, you can run it from the browser without installing anything, and voice chat is entirely optional (you can just type if you prefer). There are also android and iOS apps for it.

Reposted from GW Reddit for the people here.

Hey all, Canthan New Year begins in approximately 3 days and a few hours from the time of this post. If you're like me and you hate trying to convert timezones, here's an easy way to do it on Discord, simply type in -cny and you will get a countdown! It will work throughout the 3-hourly finales too so you know exactly how long more before the next finale cycle begins.

To join GWGlobal Discord just go to (https://discord.gg/RpuJFKF) Discord is free, and no installation or microphone is required.

In addition, you can also start forming / joining groups for Rollerbeetle and DragonArena using the -lfg command on Discord.

You can start preparing for CNY now in fact. GW Wiki has a great guide on what items to start gathering in advance and how to maximize your profits from this event. https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Lunar_Token

Most people will be AFKing on Nine Rings for Lucky/Unlucky points, and that's because it has and still is the best source for that.

As for the finales, just keep a look out for sponsored districts. We will share more information about this on the GWGlobal server. (Alternate link: https://discord.gg/KnjgCkS)

Hope this helps out returning or new players. This is not a complete guide but I'm sure that others here will have better advice.

Mayhaps GWLegacy might sponsor a district too. Would be cool.

Sadness: Regarding numbers you can check it out for yourself with the command -serverinfo2, and yes, if we can get everyone together it'll be an awesome way to overcome one of the central problems with Guild Wars right now--the lack of an easy way to form/join groups and in general to find others to do stuff together. More publicity about this on Facebook etc would be great too.

@KAOS: I'm open to any suggestions! We could possibly integrate the chat bot with an LFG tool that is hosted right here on GWLegacy. There is certainly a lot more scope for improvement.

Iaerah: I am definitely all for merging. I think the Legacy Discord has been a great idea from the start. It's just a shame that uptake of both that Discord and this site has not been as high as it could be. Part of the reason, of course, is the dwindling size of the player base, but I also think some further enticement and promotion might boost participation further and I am definitely keen on that. I have also toyed with the idea of a feed for GW Legacy but there are so many things to do, so little time. We currently have a feed for the Guild Wars Reddit and creating one for Legacy will not be too difficult. I think there's quite a bit of room here for synergizing both platforms and reaping significant benefits from that.

Hello awesome people of Guild Wars Legacy! We're going public with our Discord server: Guild Wars Global, or GWGlobal for short. There are a bunch of features here that were created with the purpose of making it easier to do things like find/form groups, perform price checks, monitor the kamadan trade chat log, get information on daily quests, events, nick sets, etc.

We already have over 350 users and will be seeking to encourage greater usage of this platform for connecting players throughout Guild Wars.
Edit: The server has grown quite rapidly and we now have over 850 users as of Feb 9 2017.

Here are our links: https://discord.gg/RpuJFKF (or https://discord.gg/hm7X6Cs or https://discord.gg/KnjgCkS).

Okay so what exactly does GWGlobal have:

• Party search and matchmaking system: Fully automated, lots of features like timing your run, seeing other people's IGN, etc.
• Price check: Gives you the first 5 results from, currently powered by https://kamadan.decltype.org/ but will work independently in future.
• Kamadan trade chat log: A real time feed of Kamadan trade chat with recent duplicates removed. Powered by https://kamadan.decltype.org/ as well.
• Additional information tools: Gives you information on things like zaishen daily quests, nicholas the traveler location and items, nick farm guide, weekly bonus, special events. For each of this there's a countdown timer so you no longer have to perform pesky time conversions by yourself.
• Skill builder: Allows you to ping skills which will be displayed as a skill bar, similar to what it looks like in-game.
• PvX build search: Allows you to ping skill bars from PvX wiki.
• PvX team build search: Allows you to ping team skill bars from PvX wiki. All the skill bars are put together into one image. It's awesome.
• Wiki search: Allows you to search Guild Wars wiki. You'll get a snippet and a link to your result.

Full details on commands and features can be found on the Guild Wars subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/GuildWars/co…_name=GuildWars

• Commend / report function for parties
• Custom blacklist for parties
• Separate web display for LFG/GLF lists
• Services listing and functions
• Faster and more accurate price check
• Equipment templates

Questions And Answers
Why use Discord?: Very popular with gamers, has text and voice features, easy to create tools with, anti-spam and anti-troll features are pretty extensive, low barrier to entry as anyone can run it from a browser with no installation at all.
Why join?: Gathering place for Guild Wars players, find help, join groups, awesome tools.
Is this really going to work?: We'll see. The whole idea here is that even if we don't get enough players to make the whole party-search thing feasible, at least there are enough tools to make your gaming experience a better one.
Why not use the Guild Wars Legacy Discord?: When I first started this, I needed my own server with full ownership rights to effectively test and debug the Discord bot. Right now a lot of the code is server-dependent so it cannot be easily moved over to the GWLegacy Discord. We also have a sizeable population now on GWGlobal and it will not be possible to move everyone over. Also, I think GWLegacy Discord serves this community here which may or may not like the introduction of these automated features.

Again, here are our links: https://discord.gg/RpuJFKF (or https://discord.gg/hm7X6Cs or https://discord.gg/KnjgCkS).

If you have any problems joining just let me know. It should be as easy as just clicking on the link and registering a Discord account if you don't have one, or logging in if you do. If the link doesn't work, just add the server manually using this link. To add a server manually in Discord, simply click on the + button at the left-most column where all the servers are listed. This + button is located at the bottom, i.e. below all the servers. Click on it and you can choose Join Server. Then enter one of our links to join.
