Nice stuff above, I can't compete with those but here are some of my favorites from my vault.

What do you mean by when favor is active ?
When favor of the gods is active, the chances of Gold items from goes (not chests) increase. This is the best time to solo farm.

raisu nm will drop q8, i drop an illusion q8 forbiden staff from a chest in this zone, but is the only one q8 that i have obtained in raisu chest nm
The chest levels and foe levels are too high in Raisu, even NM, to drop Q8 shields, swords and focuses as the level has to be 17-21 for these to drop as Q8. Q8 staves on the other hand have a strange level requirement for q8 11-21 dmg and can drop from a wider range of levels.

You definitely have some good choices there for Shield skins.
The difficulty with chest running specifically for shields is that the Shield rate is around 4.2%, then the hope it has good mods and a good skin drops those chances extremely.
The other options you may want to consider is any Summit runs, they all have changes of SSS or SWS. Those are certainly nice shields to obtained and getting a nice one would be a sweet score. There are several Summit run choices, one of my favorites is Grenth's Footprint. You asked about routes, stats, etc, I just happen to have this one mapped out on here:

It's not suprise for drop Whalekin Wand here, but skin exist only on Kourna (maybe interesting.. or not).
On chest, NM, end 2019:
Congrats on the gold Q8 11-21 wand in general, I love to see those being max for insc q8 wands.
Barbarous Shore is one of my favorite NF runs that I enjoy, mainly for the large potential of sword skins (listed above).
The Whalekin Wand is a very common drop in Kourna as you know, for Barbarous Shore alone, I have logged 67 out of 690 chests tracked, almost 10% making up a pretty large portion. I only had one Q8, it was a purple 11-21 as well.

There isn't a whole lot of group chest running happening these days, there may be a guild out there that host some in groups.
I do like FOW chest runs but tend to only do so during Pantheon week so that it is free, it also helps to space out the same run after doing so many to help refresh the drops. That is one run I have in my rotation but don't have it mapped on here.

Welcome back to the Chest Running world. Personally, I do all of my Chest running on an Assassin (A/E), I use pretty much the same build for the majority of my runs (both HM and NM for Q8s) with the exception of Hell's Precipice HM, that one takes a different build (I use A/R). My build is posted within the several chest running guides I have on here.
On another note, there are several other Derv chest runners that are also successful, I only use my Derv for solo farming so maybe someone can provide some insight regarding a Derv Build.
