With sr who needs a focus for energy all the time, and the attrib boost ench spells make the +44wE useful too.
Not saying it's worth selling, but definitely could be fun for you maybe.

they're insc, so stating the mods doesn't matter, every single one can be changed.
It's a skin from Factions thats OS there, but OS ones are super overfarmed by "people"
The insc version like this from the zchest you might get lucky and get a few ectos for them, but really even getting 5e out of them might take a while. It's not a super uncommon skin.

When I first started playing I remember a black dye dropping in pre. Used it on my chest armour - hardly noticed the difference.
It was weeks before I realised how much it was worth.
Well, at least you dyed something, better that than what the merchant in pre offers. 😜

Hard mode generally *will not* drop q8 gold (or purple, basically same drop table) max items, only level 16-21 foes or nm chests with keys worth 300g-450g such as Elonian/maguuma chest in proph, canthan in nf, or kournan chests in nf.
No locked chest in HM is low enough 'level' to drop q8 max.
The only HM foes that are in that range are a few quest/mission specific enemies whose lvl does not scale up for HM, like the group at the beginning of maddock crevice in nf
HM about the best you can usually hope for is blues being max.
Also, was it a kournan chest dropping q0? I highly doubt your memory, it *must* have been an istani chest because a kournan chest is too high level to drop q0.

I actually recently made a new NF born character just for a couple NF only quests (ok, it was to farm Bobos mostly).
I only really had a few NF ones before and i did most side quests on them years ago, or their inventory is full of random hoarded junk so i *can't* (lol) use them.
I'll try that one a bit sometime.

one easy rule to weed out the merchfood
The shields Req plus 8 should be it's armor value
Q0 = 8 Armor shield is max
Q5 = 13 AR
Q7 = 15 AR
Q8 = 16 AR etc
Below q3 won't drop in gold.
The ones i listed above 5/13, 7/15, 8/16 are wanted in tactics for pvp.
8/16 command is kinda wanted.
Moti/strength not so much.
But any req + 8 = its armor shield can be worth selling if gold, and even purple and blues can have a little value sometimes.
Popularity of the skin / rarity sets the value.
That one q0 ar8 insc blue kournan defender got a lot of attention because only kournan military drop the skin, and it's not easy to find the kournan military of the proper level to get one to drop.
(Only a few foes during one early NF primary quest).

I too wish they existed, but they don't.
Think of it this way, dual vamp / zeal existed in prophecies, and were not included in the drop tables of the new dagger melee weapon, just on the melee weapon types proph already had.
Then NF came along and standardized weapon mods, kinda.

I've been absent from game and forum for quite some time. I see some individuals posted some shields here, real top notch stuff.
I'm a strong believer in balance. So to tip the scales a bit, here they are - the shitelds. Or at least most of em.
