Mesmer and Ranger play differently, IMO it is hard to measure a "power difference" between them. Both are good in general and excel at different tasks. My preference for Mesmer is because of ranged combat: I do not like running to foes. If there was a (non-elite) PvE shadow step with a recharge time of <=5 seconds, I might reconsider. Holy grails yo - (if max dmg) the oni +5e is easily xxxxA. Gothic Sword +5e, easily in higher xxxA range. Shields also both at least xxxA. Only Auction will tell how far they will go! DO NOT SELL TO PMs if you dont want to get ripped off!
