60/60 Exploit
We’ve added additional tracking on variations on the so-called “60/60” PVP item exploit; when we’re satisfied with the data we are seeing in terms of effectiveness, we will trigger the code to remove improper upgrades from additional items (Red items and Shields).

Got these + sup vigor + shaman insignia from like 30 minutes of Pongmei today. I've gotten a lot of sup vigors lately, ever since the price dropped to ~20k. I wonder if they buffed the vigor drop rates and didn't say anything. Normally I'd chalk the low prices up to just normal price fluctuations, but I've got 5 or 6 over the past week or so, I've never got so many in so little time before. But it could always just be luck. Has anybody else been getting more vigors than usual?

Its gettin worse and worse xD

Also Sad Favor Drop. in q8 +5e could have been a nice one
200g then obv

Just 6 more to go!

I had 4 sup vigors this week. Was also wondering about the amount.

They probably did boost the droprates for Melandru characters and the reason for prices being low is... a lot of people are playing on their Melandru characters so nobody's buying.
My prediction for inflation on runes (mats already started a few days ago) is to ramp up around anniversary event (yes I am Warren Buffet of Kryta)

Oh what a nice hammer, its even q9!

wow....

Update February 13, 2026
60/60 Exploit
We have triggered the code to remove improper upgrades from additional items (Red items and Shields).
So, the problem was that the 60/60 weapons whose skins had been modified after their creation were not deleted (test / return from 2weeks before the deployment of the February 13 update). Is this the case, can anyone confirm it? Is it definitely over (finally)?
-
Yes it's over, my PVP chars are no longer with those 60/60 weapons.

Hi all!
I've been back for less than a month after a 15-year break from the game... Guild is practically dead with only one other active member and with no saved skill templates, I knew I was in for a lot of pain so I decided to pick up a copy of Young Heroes of Tyria in order to get a feel of the game again.
It was painful indeed but I pushed on and completed the book, hoping with each mission, the drops would make up for all the deaths and some horrible wipes...
Was it worthwhile?
Apart from a couple of elite tomes, the chest drops were horrible. However, mobs at Gates of Kryta dropped a couple of surprises:
Non-max unfortunately, but hey, it's still a Dead Bow
And a little further into the mission:
Clean...
But it's a max req 9 Fellblade, so I'll keep it as a good luck charm
A little further on into the mission:
The req 13 isn't a problem but the -5 on a 20 energy warrior... No thanks... I'll just stash it with all my other trash... It's still a Sephis afterall

I'm into my second book now... Also picking up on the game skills again and running with consets to minimise time and silly deaths when I charge into mobs with my heroes flagged half a mile away...

Today, I popped into The Frost Gate... One of my least favourite missions due to the length but since it is the holidays, I decided to run the bonus as well for the extra mobs:

This came out of a chest... Lockpick broke...
Cleaned it, and it will find a place next to the clean Fell for now... Conset up, pushed on, and this dropped from the next chest:
I don't think ArenaNet likes me...
At least the lockpick was saved... Off again towards the bonus mission, and a Summit Axe Wielder decides to drop this near the chest for the plans:
I

Summit Axes, but I had never thought of getting a req 8 +5 energy Summit Axe in the past as I had a +5 req 9 Chaos Axe for my monk which was good enough... Here's the thing... I emphasise on word 'had'...Wanting to try out Dhumm Covenant on my return... I deleted my PvP monk which I though was an empty storage unit... As the Chaos Axe is not on my rp monk... I guess it has gone to the big black hole of cyberspace...
Hmmmm... Should I be happy or sad...

Anyway, just saying... Do the bonuses...

Melandru's Accord Character Weapon Updates:
I've been playing my Ranger Melandru's Accord character a ton lately and having so much fun! I rushed to be able to farm Mantids when favor is up, and it's paid off wildly. I've collected well over 100k raw (I sit at about 90k because of gold cap and spend the excess on Lockpicks) and have acquired several stacks of raw materials. I wanted to share some weapon drops I've farmed along the way:
My main bow. It dropped during my first run of Arborstone. I acquired the mods along the way and salvaged them from other bows.
I was just farming Mantids during favor and had TWO Q9 +5e weapons drop (The Celestial Sword dropped as-is, I couldn't believe it).
Clouded Maul is my favorite hammer skin in the game, so I was entirely happy to have this drop as well. Can't wait to use it for RaO Bunny Thumper. I had a Q9 14% Stance purple version that held the mods previously; I got lucky when salvaging.
My main SF enchant weapon. I had a 19% Enchant until yesterday, and one finally dropped for an upgrade. I was so excited.

All in all, Melandru's Accord has been a breath of fresh air. People have their complaints, but I think it's a great thing for the game.

My favourite skin, but I'm a strength warrior...

Who else is annoyed that they completely changed the meta with their updates? Like eoe, whinnow, quickening zephyr, cd times, aniversary items, of the profession mods. Now its just about whos following the updates most efficiently.
I think the game never needed this. Even after years of playing there was enough to discover. For me it turns the game way less attractive. Its like a virus coming from the new age from that guild wars was unaffected so far.
How do you see this?
-
I am torn. on the one hand I am with you and feel like the grumpy old man sitting on his bench cursing the changes, but on the other hand if you give in to it it does open new possibilities, changes the game more to what it was inthe start - something alive, changing, somethinng to adapt to and always rethink - not like the past years where people optimized the last mod on the build to perfectly do a task as efficient as possible. in the end I think it does revive part of what it was, so I am with it - but then again I have so little playtime now that I just want to log in and do my thing and now might happen suddenly my build doesn't work anymore and I can't. so... there is both and the problem I see is my little time for gw
else I could live up to the nostalgic feel a bit more.but then again - everything done in the past 15years was buffs except for the 60/60 item fix lately, which is something I'd want to see both ways. maybe nerf shelter, nerf shadow form, etc. But srsly with all the cons, summon stones, anniv weps, heroAI buff, skill buffs, ... most things feel like a relaxed walk if you halfway set up your thing properly. I'd like to see a more balanced game - where content is challenging. where you have to think. but then again I don't have the time. dammit
-
I love new things are added or modified, but im with RED that id like to see some nerfs aswell. After 20 years everything is so easy id love to have more challenge in general PvE, the new modes add someting but doesnt change anything compared to previous iromman / or deathless attempts.
Little before the updates i started ironman with rules: No 2nd profs, only skills from singlr attri in a build (player or heroes) on attempt to make things harder but honestly the pve is just too easy after 2 decades

This was always the case no ? I mean all the meta changed when they modified SF, Sliver armor etc...
You're just attached to this game and the nostalgic image you have of it (no judgment here, many of us are in the same boat)
I prefer the game now with its population that the game we had one year ago with only few veterans. Damn I remember not so long ago waiting up to 4-5 hours or even an entire afternoon just to go to Soosc..hf !
-
Yes but before the 15th anniversary there were just very minor changes and between the 15th and 20th anniversary there was also very little change. What are now like what i feels nearly weekly changes. Id say an small update every 5 years is something i can tolerate but at the moment its just feels excessive.
And its also different when you add something thats used very often like the of the profession mods. Now you have anniversary weapons with of the profession mods on a reforged dhuum melandu whatever character. Its not just small changes. Its a totally different game.

all the modes are opt in, its not a big deal imo
nothing was nerfed so all your old builds still work.
if you choose not to tick any boxes at character creation then the game is 99.9% the same as the 20th aniversary
-
I always ask myself the same question: why did they abandon the game (like a piece of sh*t) in 2013 after automating events, etc., only to come back 13 years later and clumsily clean up the game?
The game belongs to us, the players. We're the ones who kept it alive all these years, not Anet. They just watched it die without doing anything (except keeping the server open). It's too easy to come back after all this time and do what the community had already been thinking about doing for a long time. For example, we didn't wait for them to create game mods (Iron Man) or wanted being able to choose the character selection screen background. The team behind TB++ has done much more than Anet to integrate options into the game. Not to mention that without a trading post, fans created Trade Chat Kamadan, which is now integrated into TB++.
It's a bit like throwing a party, a real orgy, then leaving when it's time to clean up and coming back the next day to say, “So, did everything go well?” Attention isn't enough for me; it's the result that counts. I love this game, but like many others, I've understood its limitations since many years. No future update will change that for me, fundamentally speaking. It's too late.
The economy is dead and will remain so following the numerous abuses that have been rampant for a decade. PvE is a piece of cake. And even if there's a new dungeon, etc., we will destroy it in an afternoon, like wild animals in search of novelty. PvP, or what's left of it, is now just a way for half the community to earn titles, but not to actually have fun (as soon as there's a way to cheat, it's carnage).

Before 15th anniversary there were just very minor changes... did we play the same game ?
I remember having game changing skills balance updates that would shift metas upside down on a monthly basis, I'm glad those days are over tbh.
The anniv weapons, the of the profession mods are anecdotal new ways to build your characters and I don't see anything bad with it, I'm more salty at skills like HR being introduced in the game are still completely busted as of today.
The pcons duration being extended to 30mins was a welcome change for everyone whether you're a SC player or just someone mad that bots exists since it makes their business less profitable.
So all and all I'd say the changes we've seen over the past few years are 90% good, 9% nothing sandwich, and 1% bad (HR

Y'all really sound like grumpy old men. Please don't take offense

It is a game after all. Changes make the game feel alive, and not dead. It sounds like you are clinging to a relic of the past.
I understand that there is anger towards anet for neglecting the game, but then also being angry at them giving the game a now go, I do not understand. The changes may not be perfect, but what is. -

I understand that there is anger towards anet for neglecting the game, but then also being angry at them giving the game a now go, I do not understand. The changes may not be perfect, but what is.Let's not forget that we are on a specific forum where you will almost always find the same old faces. Most players don't post on this forum, or any other forum related to GW1. This makes us very demanding players and, what's more, veterans who have played the game far more times than we should have (considering everything else there is to do in life).
I understand, in a way, being negative about this sometimes, but I fully accept it, just as much as I accept positive opinions from novices. -

Take a break... Maybe a long one... See the world... Enjoy other games for a bit... Then come back after 15+ years and everything will feel good and fresh again.
Ok... Maybe not that loooong a break... Couple of weeks or months maybe...

Trust me, when you return, it doesn't matter how long you've been away, you'll have more fun and appreciate the little things... The storyline, the habit of picking Iris flowers and finding 3 stacks on a character storage, Rurik doing a Leeroy into a bunch of charr, the irrelevant drop that triggers a long forgotten memory...
It's been less than a month since I've been back and I haven't really done much apart from running around pre-sear and doing some drop research in HM missions... Even forgot about the little obsession we had with finding the highest damage Tribal Axe or Double Bladed Prophecies Sickle until I got a sickle a few days ago running Gates of Kryta and salvaged it instead...

Was a 6-19... That's what I keep telling myself....

Today, I was at Ruins of Surmia, when this happened:

I was so happy, I forgot about Rurik... Guess we all know what happened to the mission....
Still...

Next targets... 6-27 & 6-28

I agree with you all mesmers should be nerfed and ritualists definitely need to be buffed (as much as possible)
 -

:trollface:Clearly, all ritualist spirits should get that new longer range certain ranger spirits got, or possibly extended to compass, or full map range... and the ability to pierce through obstacles.
