at that point all devonas quest does is advertise reforged mode for the people who were unaware before, which i don't think can be very many by now.

If I were to echo some of the arguments made by players who oppose the critics of the Reforged mode and recent additions:

Yes there are "better" items now with the inscr ones, but that was the case since inscr got introduced in nf and still ppl prefer os ones. "Perfect" os purple still exist and u can still use those if u prefer that.

Note: If Boss Maz drops a Charr Bag or a Charr Salvage Kit but the door is closed, you won't be able to go in and pick it up. However, you can use a gate glitch with an enemy (pull) to get to the item.

You can but you have to open each door in the good order. It happens to me, charr kit behind the last door, had to open the first one first, then the second one with an other cristal.

we did donjon twice and the boss grp doesn't trigger after befriending the god grawl

edit : loooks like it happens either because group leader doesnt have the quest (even if other members have i) or maybe because we did attack god grawl...

I have a few screenshots (the infamous “Charr Ghosts”):

• The names are mistranslated. In English, they don't have the “Charr” name. But in French, they do.
• That doesn’t rule out a difference in HM in this dungeon. Depending on the situation, you won’t face the same monsters in HM.
• I assume, you won’t get the same rewards—purple or gold, depending on the situation in the final chest (see below).
• I tried doing the quest directly in HM for the first time. Or only the second time in HM, other caracter, account, etc. But I don’t know what factors influence it...

Explanations of the images below:

• In the first image, you can see that the translation isn't correct (Eng/Fr). But that's not all.
• You can also see Horsemen (Skin: Banished Dream Rider). In the same location, they aren’t present in the second set of images. The monsters’ names are also different in these two situations.
• Finally, this isn’t the only place where this happens—it occurs throughout the entire dungeon. For example, in the second set of images (the one on the right), there may also be “Charr Ghosts” in that spot (etc, etc..).
• The version with the Horsemen is more difficult compared to the one where the monsters are the same as when you first enter the dungeon (before unlocking the dungeon quest and triggering HM). The latter is very easy (too easy...).
• Having played both versions in HM: with basic monsters = 2 purple items in the final chest in HM. With “Charr Ghosts” + Horsemen = 2 gold items in the final chest in HM.

And you what version of monsters and drop did you get in HM?

The one run I did NM last evening was my first and can confirm Horsemen.

I immediately recognized them from UW and my first thought was wtf is going to be on in loot table(?!)

According wiki (and my experience) after first finish u get the horsemans

Got the same last evening. First NM run all normal and when we wanted to do it a 2nd time, then in HM we got Horsemans.

I had, in order:

• 1st run of the dungeon quest (The Dreamer and the Zealot) on NM (right after the round trip to find Duke).
• 2nd run in HM with the Horsemen (normal so far). Golds in the chest.
• 3rd run in HM, with the basic monsters, without the Horsemen. Purples in the chest.

Edit: Or, if someone in the group is doing it for the first time (leaves the dungeon after Duke, then joins a group for the HM at Piken Place), the Horsemen don't appear.

It’s a bit like the bug in the Pre dungeon, which duplicated NPCs and chests when someone in the group ran it for the first time, provided at least one other member had already run it.

Were the runs with same persons?

Anyway ive went in now 3 times HM and saw horseman (ran there two times quite fast to run to first level and check first groups)

With my main character, I completed the three runs of the dungeon as described above. Only humans in the group, no heroes*

Then, with all the other characters in my account (with heroes, no humans) after unlocking the Hero (after finishing the dungeon once) all time Horsemens.

But I think that having someone in the group who is running the dungeon for the first time in HM (and therefore hasn't unlocked Althea yet) results in a run without the Horsemen and drop purples in the chest. But also that the player in question has completed the quest or found Duke -> left the dungeon -> returned to HM without having unlocked the hero.

Edit: As you can see from the comment below, sometimes it has the opposite effect

Must have been someone in my party that had done it previously. It was my first time through on NM to get Althea and we had Horsemen.

Ok, first time Althea die on final battle and no chest (she auto rez after but ..) After 6x first time no chest first time Althea die at the end of dungeon.

Ok ,after other run, same group Althea no die on final battle and chest appeared.

And .. all drop purples, (no Horsemen). Because 2 players run first time the dungeon (no unlocked hero).. theories are becoming reality.

Want golds on chest in HM? Only group with players who have already unlocked Althea.
