What is the theoretical max offer in a single trade?

  • Recently came back to Guild Wars and starting looking at selling some of my collection. One item in particular has garnered a lot of interest with a private offer of 1750a.

Considering a stack is 250 and there is 7 slots, is that the theoretical max offer? Or are there other ways to manage even higher offers in a single trade?

Essentially, is there another unit of money higher than a stack of arm?

  • Any item "worth" 1750a is going to be worth more than that. For instance, the bow itself will buy you far more than 1750a ever will.

If/when you decide to sell it, I would just say something like "armbraces not accepted, only offers in the thread will be acknowledged." That is what's going to get you the most interesting/valuable offers. Anything less is daylight robbery. Please don't be disillusioned by the "collections" (often lacking in both history and presentation quality) of some of our local botters, some of whom have been quick to introduce themselves, or any offer they give you involving armbraces.

Armbraces are largely worthless and become more worthless each day. It may also be worth noting, if you're not yet aware, that virtually every rare minipet you could want can be freely obtained via quests from https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Merrise,_Sworn_to_Seas as of the 20th anniversary.

  • For trades exceeding 1750a, you have a few options..

    1. Use a trade mod, involves a third person where buyer and seller gives trade mod all the stuff and then he distributes accordingly, so requires a high level of trust. (sometimes will charge a fee as well)
    2. Buyer trades you 1750a and then you do another trade with the additional arms and the item (Again, high level of trust, but the risk is all in the buyer trading the 1750a up front).
    3. Use minis or other weapons that are greater than 250a + the rest of the arms needed to make the trade, so that it fits in the trade window with one trade.

I recommend the third option, as that is the safest and most straight forward option. Can be hard sometimes though determining the price of the weapons they want to trade you for your weapon. First option just seems like a pain, why even do this if you can just figure out a way to fit it in the trade window. Second option is crazy and the only reason I mention it is because I have done it in the past, but only one time.. and the seller was trustworthy and didn't run away with my full trade window of arms .

  • theoretically? 1750 EL reindeers or henchies, assuming they stack. assuming a sale price of $6,000 per EL reindeer/henchie (last price ik of for reindeer, could be higher now), that would be $10,050,000 or 70,000,000a, or 2,100,000,000e, or 7,140,000,000,000 plat, or 7,140,000,000,000,000 gold. assuming i did the math right

that being said, id highly recommend using a trade mod if ur gonna sell big ticket shit, or make the other dude go first. a TM will generally take up to 5% commission for their service, at least the big ones like emma, honor, or bobu (RIP :( ) also would recommend using shit like prenerfs or minis, just make sure u know the value of them so u dont get fucked up the ass w no lube. ppl be fleecing new players for all they got, but that shouldnt surprise anyone xd

If I win an auction, please DM me about it, otherwise I'll probably forget xD

  • The most reindeer you can put into the trade window would be 23, that's if you could find all 23 that were ever awarded in game, and convince those players to sell to you, which is not happening 8o . I think 7 unconditional weapons would be the most you could put into a trade window. Maybe if you could find 7 el henchman, that could probably give the unconditional weapons a run for their money, but I still think: 7 unconditional weaps > 7 el henchman > xx reindeer.

    they dont stack.

Not sure if you actually have 2 el reindeer that won't stack...

Try IDing them both, they never show a value, but often one will say it was already ided, then the other will stack with it after being ided.
