Old but important Guru content.

There are some old guru threads that should be saved. Unfortunately the only way I know of seeing any of them is through google archive mode. (Which is blocked for me )

Would anyone take the initiative and transfer over some of the posts? Keep the titles the same, attribute the author if you can, but lets get them here so the info is still useable and searchable.

If you have any threads that you want to see added, please post about them here. I'll add them to the list.

As per this thread, the Guru archive is currently offline due to infrastructure changes brought about from the Twitch acquisition. It ought to return, though we don't know when. There are people who believe we won't ever see the archive back up (I am not one of them, at least not yet) and are working on a full content port to Legacy, though this is still very much a work in progress.

What I can assure you of is that most of the data contained by the Guild Wars Guru forum wasn't lost, although I'm not certain of the exact time frame I might be able to share the archive containing it with the rest of the readers, approximately, it could be the end of the next month.

The whole archive will be remaining there for one month (and may be a little bit more). The only thing which isn't out there is a part of the Selling section in between the February of 2006 and the April of 2009. The rest of the threads are all there, so pretty much, the entire forum.

Smoke, this is awesome. May I suggest you join the admin discussion group for Legacy to see if or how this might be incorporated into the site? Also once (if?) you're ok with proceeding, this thread could be changed so as not to cause.... controversy?

I mean hosting it myself on a server so it lowers traffic on yours. I'd also make it searchable..

I don't see why there should be any objections to that. As to what Max suggested - I'm able to participate in that discussion, yes, however, the time investment into the matter from my part is likely to be rather limited, due to other affairs.
