Need help - Some of my key bindings were changed, is that normal ?

    Hello everyone,

    I connected this morning to find that some specific key bindings were changed on my main account. Everything was normal on my secondary account.


    Key bindings that were changed :

    _I should have the comma "," for map travel. It was changed to "M".

    _I use european standard ZQSD for movement. The key to move forward was changed to W, which seems to indicate some kind of QWERTY change. However the key to move left is still "Q" and the key to move right has been changed to "E", which is inconsistent with a QWERTY change. E is in the same place both in QWERTY and AZERTY (ZQSD vs WASD).

    I checked and my windows keyboard is correctly set up as AZERTY european and when I connect to my second account everything is fine.

    I don't see any "automated" change doing that, even with Toolbox/Gw Launcher. Is there such a thing that I might have inadvertently activated ?

    I was connected yesterday evening, late, and everything was fine. Also was connected the day before that, so it's not the update of the 13th.


    Has anyone else seen their keybindings change in such a way, recently or not ?

    Does anyone know if I can contact Anet support to ask them where my account was lastly accessed from ?

    if nothing has been stolen from your account, i would doubt that somebody else has accessed it. also the window of time in which somebody would have accessed it seems relatively short (last evening to now), which also leads me to think its not super likely.

    the keybindings that you mention though all seem consistent with QWERTY to my knowledge, so even if your keyboard settings are normal (non-QWERTY) now, maybe there were briefly changed? the fact that the other account is not affected could also point to only a brief duration of the change if you did not use it during that time. bindings being consistent with QWERTY do indicate some sort of keyboard setting as the cause imo.

    while i have not had keyboard bindings change, i have recently had my customized UI reset while using a gamepad in another game. so maybe if you had GW running while playing something else with gamepad you may have done things without noticing.

    I experienced the same issue about two weeks ago; my interface layout and keybindings had essentially been reset to their default settings.
    I’m not entirely sure what caused it,
    but one thing that comes to mind is that I had adjusted the options and the hero status display position in the mobile version.
    That said, I can't say for certain if that was actually the cause.😵‍💫

    Also, I play using a gamepad, but I use two different ones—one for PC and another for mobile.
    That might be a factor as well.
