What are all the SSS and SWS chest runs and which are the easiest and most efficient?

Pretty much as the title says. I am a lazy chest runner: I want to travel to a town, go outside, run around and get Summit Shields without having to try too hard. I already saw a couple here, but I'm curious if there are more. Any help is appreciated

hello,

So SSS and SWS drops from dwarves, so anywhere in the southern Shiverpeaks.

I guess the most efficient would be Tasca's demise, without the titans quests (obviously with, you might also drop some magma's shields)

However those midgets hit hard so I will not consider those runs as easy.

The area is pretty small, 1 to 4 chests.

Dreadnought's drift seems a good spot too (1 to 3 chests in 2minutes) but the fact you need to run there, and can't resign makes it a bit more annoying, if you have an alt you consider leaving the zone with)

Ask Oldschool Cool for Tasca and Red Fireball for dreadnought's

Or I might do the maps for you as soon as I can

Well, that's the two areas (3 with Grenth's footprint) where you have the densest dwarf population as far as I remember.

You can try Thunderhead keep, but that's not really efficient since you don't have a guaranteed chest.

Farming the little people is an option, but I guess you need to be 2 (with a prot monk)

Tasca's is just hard and Dreadnoughts just isnt easily accesable, I need to run there, bring an alt, etc. Since I maxed treasure hunter I can barely bring myself to do chest runs, so when I do I just want something easy going.

I can confirm what TongTong said :

- Tasca : 1-3 chest (on rare occasions 0 chest or 4 chests). But the zone is really annoying, the heroes get bodyblocked and die really fast, the dwarves are hitting hard (those damn archers) and the chest/hour is quite low (40 chests/hour with cupcake and alcohol)

- Grenth footprint : quite slow, the dwarves are hitting hard, and Muddy Terrain make the run really painful !

- Thunderhead and Dreadnought's : you need an alt for both. Once again they are quite slow and you aren't even guarantee to get one chest !

- Farming. I don't really know any solo farm build, and the healers are making it difficult. One alternative I could think of would be to duo with an alt and play a dual spirit spammer build (SoS and Communing spirit spam). But I don't think that's very efficient.

Grenth’s footprint is super easy with a +10 vs piercing shield. The drop rate kind of sucks though. I’ve had one single mode sss drop in over 100 chests. I haven’t seen a sws yet

So far I have gotten the hang of Tascas HM without Defend Droknars Forge. I know adding DDF makes it a lot harder. Is it worth the struggle to try and run Tasca's HM with DDF, or should I do it NM, or should I do it HM without DDF at all?

If you're only interested in SSS and SWS do it HM without the quest.

If you want a chance to drop some magma shield, take the quest. But as you said the run will be harder.

If you want magma I'll recommend hell's precipice

Reviving this thread as I want to hunt for some SSS/SWS.

I'm leaning towards Tasca's Demise HM without Titan quest so far, but still trying out all runs.

In Grenth's Footprint I see many chests next to Ice Imps / Pinesouls. Am I correct that those do not drop SSS/SWS? Or is it enough if there are summits in compass range?

Chests popping on imps/pinesouls will drop you core skins.

Drops from chests are generated regarding which foe it pops on

i agree. Tasca HM is the most effective way to get those sweet SSS & SWS and is quite easy with a vs dwarves or piercing tact shield since the biggest threat are those archers, cupcake+ alchool & dwarven stability( perma kd imunity) , Feigned Neutrality and dark escape are the only dmg reductions you need, right after you cast shadowform & shroud. Also slap one showstep on your skill bar , sometimes inevitabily you will get body blocked .

So basically you want to always have up:

-Shadow form

-Shroud of distress

-Dwarven stability( anti kd) witj booze

-Dark escape or feigned neutrality ( never both in the same time unless is actually necesary)

-personaly as last skill i use Feel no Pain since im drunk anyway

As a A/W i meet the requirements on my tact shield vs dwarves for even more armor ( 16Ar +10 vs dwarves) since you only spend points in shadow Arts.

I personally go A/E with Glyph of Swiftness. This way you have perma Shadow Form, perma anti-KD with Dwarven Stability and also Perma Dark Escape. I use Shroud of Distress and Way of the Master to trigger the Shadow Form 5 damage reduction and ofc Shroud helps staying alive. This leaves me room for Heart of Shadow and Deaths Charge to speed up the run. I only use Alcohol to trigger the anti-KD from Dwarven Stability.
