They usually go for 1 or 2e.
For this kind of common item you can use this website :https://kamadan.gwtoolbox.com/ and see the WTS and WTB offer that people are doing in kamadan.

Nope both are merch.
For this kind of core staff the only mod worth selling would be a Q9 with 20% HCT Illusion (and even then it wouldn't sell for much)
Yep, the specific combo : DF/prot is prenerf on green wayward. The current version that you can still get in game is Prot/prot with holy damage (you can check the full list of prenerf green here : https://guildwarslegacy.com/forum/thread/11457-greens/)
The price is kinda all over the place for prenerf green so I won't really price check it. Maybe Unholy has a better idea on the price.
Yep both have value (and i'm interested in the hypnotic). It's hard to give you an estimate for the price but you could do an auction on legacy and see where it goes
lmao! I did not know the existence of this treasure

One of the many quest reward item with an unusual inherent mod that can be turned into a "duplicate mod" by adding an upgrade.
Some of my collection :
You can find them all there : https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Category:…eplicable_items
.... but since there are no weapons with a double "Enchanting" upgrade like this one (with the exception of that staff 19/20 that I don't know if the picture is real or fake),
I'm curious what's double enchanting staff are you talking about ?
I remember this one from an old PC thread : RE: OS BDS Dual chant staff? but imo it was an obvious photoshop (notice the weird spacing of the enchant mod)
Well as the post mention low level quest reward and energy while hexed and while ench maybe it the one that was discussed here : RE: Capitalist’s Remains
It's part of many quest reward that were changed in late 2005/early 2006
yep it's prenerf, for future reference you can check Unholy's thread : Greens
As far as i know this one is neither super rare nor super common, so the usual range will be 30e-2a depending on collector interest. But wait for Unholy opinion he is the main prenerf green expert nowadays.
Hey
Q9 DZ clouded maul, the fact it's not max damage kill most of the value. But I'm personally interested so don't merch it.
2/10/11 = around 10e each
3/4/5/7/8 = a few ecto at best take what ever offer you can get
6/9 = nothing crazy but they are Q9 perfect so it's worth trying to put them for sale on legacy
C6=10e
EDIT : Also C8=5e
Celestial scepter=12e (thanks Zes)
Display MorePurple Shield Mods

+5armor or lower vs damage mod
I think this section could be detailed a bit more. Anything outside of the current observed range for purple can be considered prenerf so :
+19hp or lower
+29/(stance or enchanted) or lower
+44hp with hex or lower
+5armor or lower vs damage mod +7 armor or lower vs damage type/creature
-1/hexed mod
-1/enchanted or -1/stance mod
Attribute +1/14% or lower
Damage -3 chance X%
Damage -4 or -5 chance lower than 14%
Maybe the purple version of the -3/10% mod (not sure about this one I will let other comment on that)
QuotePurple Focus Mods
+19hp or lower inherent mod.
+29/(stance or enchanted) or lower inherent mod.
+5 armor or Below vs something
Same as the shield this section can be detailed a bit more to include anything outside of the current observed range for purple focus :
+19hp or lower
+29/(stance or enchanted) or lower
+44hp with hex or lower
+5armor or lower vs damage mod +7 armor or lower vs damage type/creature or while <50% or while hexed
14% or lower HSR/HCT
7% or lower global HSR/HCT
Attribute +1/14% or lower
If you want to open another big can of worms you could also look deeper into some other obscure mods. The commonly accepted theory is that the prenerf gold and prenerf purple could have mods going as low as the current lowest value on blue weapons.
So in theory those mods are also prenerf (note that I haven't observed them myself, so those are purely based on theory) :
* Energy+13/-1 and below on gold
* Energy +12/-1 and below on purple
* 4AR/-20hp on gold or purple
* 4AR/-5e on gold or purple
* 4AR against physical/elemental on gold or purple
* 4AR while casting/attacking/ench on gold or purple
Quote(If anybody has screens shots of the missing ones please post and will update.
Here are some :
26 hp or lower :
40 wE or lower :
And if you want to include some screen for the purple : -1 wE and +6 vs creature
Hey some small nitpicks :
Quote[Attribute mod combos]
Any Gold/Purple OS Wand or staff with mixed profession mods on single profession skins. (like 20% HCT healing on truncheon, or 1/20 Fire on Jeweled chalice or HCT Inspriation on a Earth Staff) (doesnt apply on multiprofession skins like paper fan)
Currently the multiprofession focus like the Paper Fan can only drop with mods related to their profession. So if you find a Paper Fan with a mod from a different profession it's definitively prenerf !
On the other hand the multiprofession wands can currently drop with mods unrelated to their profession, this include :
- Amber Wand
- Jade Wand
- Platinium Wand
- Jellyfish Wand
- Koi Scepter
- Plagueborn Scepter
- Celestial Scepter
- Wayward Wand
- Zodiac Wand
Also if you need a picture of a Gold wand with <19% HSR or a Single-prof wand with mods unrelated to their profession feel free to use this one. I also have some nice picture to illustrate the prenerf staves with mixed profession req/HSR/HCT if you need to.
QuoteAnymore detail or examples of the collector/quest reward items that dropped wrong req? Need a little more specificity to add it really.
Many of the quest reward from Prophecies were changed around in late 2005/early 2006. The change can be categorized in 3 different way :
- Many items got their req changed from a monk req to a req more fitting their class (a well known example of that being the -50hp Grim cesta that was changed from a Req Healing to a Req Blood)
- Many items got their damage range changed (usually inscreased by 30%)
- Some items got their stats reworked (example like this one : Link)
I have screenshot and in game confirmation of at least 10 of those items but I suspect there are many many more out there. Imo all the "prenerf blue" should be separated and given their own sub-section in the same way the "prenerf green" got one.
QuoteThe Henge of Denravi sword, Axe, Bow and Hammer (multiple versions exist)
As far as I understand all the HoD axe with an inherent +25hp have been changed. It would be better to post the "after-change" version instead of posting a picture on an item that just no longer exist in this current form. (Edit to precise i'm only talking about HoD Axe)
See 25th October 2006 update :
> Updated the Henge of Denravi Axe to have +5 inherent Energy instead of +25 inherent Health.
> Updated the Henge of Denravi Bow to have +5 inherent Energy instead of +10 inherent armor.
Of course nothing is ever simple with Guild Wars, so here is Part 2 : the edge cases !
As I mentioned earlier not all the original staves were using a 20% attribute specific HSR. Some green staves don't have an HSR but instead have a 20% reduce condition (similar to what could happen on prenerf gold staves) :
- Gorrel's Staff
- Brohn's Staff
- Villnar's Staff
Some other staff do have an HSR and are using an Inherent -20% condition duration (similar to what can happen on OS staves) :
- Gardock Staff
- The Yakslapper
- Ivor's staff
- Fleshweaver
- Willcrusher
Let's take the example of Gorrel Staff :
Original Staff :
From a french website, the picture was uploaded in february 2006 (so before the NF updated).
Updated Staff
Current Staff
How to interpret it :
On side note we can notice is the exact wording on the Original staff is different. Before 2006 the "Reduce X condition by 20%" was called "Fast recovery condition X" and in the same way the "+33% X condition duration" was called "Lengthen condition X". All the text were updated and as far as I can tell this didn't impact the greens in anyway.
With the currently known prenerf we can see the following pattern :
Original Gorrel : Inscription // (Head or wrap) // (Head or wrap) // Inherent
Updated Gorrel : Inscription // Inherent // (Head or wrap) // (Head or wrap)
Original Brohn : Inscription // (Head or wrap) // (Head or wrap) // Inherent
Updated Brohn : Inscription // Inherent // (Head or wrap) // (Head or wrap)
Original Willcrusher : HSR // Head // Wrap // Inherent
Updated Willcrusher : HSR // Inherent // Head // Wrap
The following staves have prenerf version with a different color but with no stat change :
* Yakslapper : Inherent//HSR//Head//Wrap
We can make the following guess :
- The HSR update seems to have affected all the staves no matter if they actually had an HSR or not (cf. mod order change on Brohn and Gorrel)
- The Inherent and the HSR (or the inscription for the staves that don't have an HSR) are always displayed before the staff Head and Wrap.
How does this help us find other potential prenerfs :
* Gardock's staff, Ivor's Staff, Villnar's staff and Fleshweaver are unlikely to have a prenerf version with a different mod order
Ok some update on the mod order thing :
History :
When the green staves from Proph and Fact were first dropped most of them had a 20% attribute-specific HSR (very few of them had a 10% global HSR or even no HSR at all but I will talk about those later).
The 25th October 2006 update (corresponding to the Nightfall release) changed all the existing green staves (with the exception of some low level staves from Shing-Jea) :
Quote> Green item staffs, crafted staffs, and collector staffs with any sort of recharge bonus have been updated to reduce the recharge time of all spells with a chance of 20% instead of the attribute-specific bonuses they had previously.
Example of Kepkhet's Refuge :
Original Staff :
I was only able to find an image in french but you can easily translate it to 20% HSR protection / 20% HCT protection
"Updated staff"
Current Staff
How to interpret it :
The Original Staff use the same mod order as the Current staff, but the Updated staff use a different mod order. I have been able to find 20+ picture of the Original staves (with attribute specific HSR) and the pattern is always the same. We can conclude that the update that changed the attribute-specific HSR into a global HSR also messed-up the mod order of the affected staves.
Another interesting pattern is to look at how the mod order was affected, once again there is a very clear pattern :
Original Kepkhet : +20% ench // +5e
Updated Kepkhet : +5e // +20% ench
Original Wenlauss' Faith : +30hp // +5e
Updated Wenlauss' Faith : +5e // +30hp
Original Kaolin staves : +1/20% attribute // +30hp
Updated Kaolin staves : +30hp // +1/20% attribute
Original Stonereaper : +1/20% curse // +5e
Updated Stonereaper : +5e // +1/20% cruse
Original Stoneweaver : +20%ench//+5AR
Updated Stoneweaver : +5AR//+20%ench
The Original Staff is always modded : Staff wrap // Staff head
The Updated Staff is always modded : Staff head // Staff wrap
In my opinion the code/script that updated the attribute-specific HSR into a global HSR also had the unintentional side effect to change the mod order of the staves to Staff head // Staff wrap.
How does this help us find other potential prenerfs :
Based on the current pattern we can say that :
* The staves modded Wrap//Head will most likely have a prenerf version modded Head//Wrap
* The staves already modded Head//Wrap or the staves with a duplicate mod (+30hp//+30hp or +5AR//+5AR) most likely won't have a prenerf version with a diff mod order.
Name | Campaign | Prenerf with a diff mod order |

Ivor's Staff | Proph | Most likely not |
Bortak's Bone Staff | Proph | Most likely not |

For kephket Unholy Oldschool Cool, i think they go for around 10-20a but am not sure at all
10-20a ? Wow slow down I think you put an extra "0" here.
Keph is one of the more common prenerf greens and more in the 50e-100e range.
Note there are also 2 versions of this prenerf staff, one with a "prenerf color" and one using the "regular color". The one using the "regular color" is rarer and might expect to get a bit more for it.
Well you can't have 20% base HSR on a Q0 purple the max is going to be 14%.
As for your staff it's a boring core skin and it's not max with 11% HSR (instead of 14%) and damage 6-9 (instead of 7-11) so I don't really see any value in it.
But wait for other opinions.
Just want to add that there are a distinction based on the weapon type and the skin.
Going 1:1k on a martial weapon (bow, sword, axe, hammer and such) is fine because even a perfect OS martial won't be worth that much at the end of the day (best mod you can hope for would be a +5e or a very rare dual zeal/dual vamp).
But if you are selling Unid OS shields (especially shield with a wanted skin like Magmas, SSS,SWS, Outcast etc..) you can get higher prices. You can check in the WTS section on legacy people selling "Unid shield bundle" and see what prices they usually get.
I have added all the new the new find to the first page (let me know if I missed any).
Final count :
- 4 with different stats (and sometimes color)
- 25 with different mod order (and sometimes color)
- 65 with a different color (edit)
This evening or tomorrow I will also post some updated Potential prenerf list and some of our latest find on the color and mod order thing.
shield of the wing = 25e
Hey
#1 and #2 are boring skin and really suffer from the req 10 (most collectors are looking for req 9) = 5-10e or take whatever offer you get
#3 take what ever offer/put it on a hero
#4 merch
#5 This one is valuable because it's Q9. Can't really PC cause i'm interested. Put for for sale and see where it goes.
# 6 Useless stats but Q9 perfect on a wanted skin. Put it for sale on legacy and see what ever offer you get
#8 Always useful for a death set, 10-20e in kama.
