So Ive come across some max armor rating shields that i haven't merched or salvaged.
As the title says is there any point in keeping this stuff?
Any purpose in collecting max damage/ar in white shields?

Q8 white max items depending on skin can go for a couple of ectos to certain collectors.
like a q8 Eternal shield was on a giveaway here once, also was bought for 5e on an auction so from 0-5e for that one as far as i have seen.
i also had a small collection on q8 white max items (mostly self drops) but also bought some here and there. But due to storage problems i sold of my q8 max white collection
but its in good hands i know

I buy any shield that is white that I don't have, as long as it is q7 16, and up, all the way to q13 ar 16.

I agree with Mr clean, white Q8 have no purpose other than collection and I have sold some of them in the 1-5e range

Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure white Q13 don't exist (and even white Q12 are really uncommon).
To go a bit off-topic I always wondered if white Q6/15 exist in prenerf (the same way that Q7/16 exist)
