Should I get a PC on 233 items?

  • So, I am new to the forum, and I have quite a question.

I am returning to the game after more than 10 years, and when I logged back into my account, I found out I had a lot of items. LOTS OF ITEMS. I managed to sold some, and got like 100 ectos.

Thing is, there are too much items, distributed between mule characters, and I wanted to delete some of these characters to create new chars and, you know, playing the game. I found this forum and the price check subforum, but honestly, doing a Price Check on 233 items seems a bit too much for me, and most of them probably are rubbish anyway. But, on the other hand, that which I managed to sell, double checking Kamadan Trade Chat, and whatnot, reported me quite some ectos.

The other problem... Selling stuff takes days, aaand even if I had valuables, I don't want to spend a lot of time sitting on Kamadan... In summary, I am divided between potential earnings, and wanting to delete the mule characters and actually playing the game again.

    What should I do?

  • As a best practice, never rely on the opinion of a single person for PC (especially when the PC is not done on a publicly accessible place) unless you already have some idea of what's the value of your items.
If I were you I would post my items in big batches (25-30 items) in the PC section here on Legacy. Better to do some more work and wait a bit longer than potentially getting ripped.

  • Definitely do not meet with one individual in kamadan for them to privately inspect. If you do, do NOT sell anything to them. If they suggest they want something -even if they say it isn’t worth much or try to imply they are making a good offer- DO NOT SELL it to them until making a PC thread here and giving it at least 24 hours for feedback.

    Make a PC thread.

Check this page for more info about what items could potentially be very very high value (1000’s of armbraces.. LOTS more than a few hundred ectos)

If he advertised stuff at kamadan, the classic vacuum cleaners, who also pose as collectors here, already took everything.

  • At first, isnt it os (oldschool), most of them are worth nothing.

Some inscr. Items habe a bit value. Q8 max dmg/def.

Or rare skins like: bone dragon staff, silverwing, eaglecrest axe, glacial blade(s), and this 2 or 3 item i forgott.

Is it os and max dmg q7 or q8 (prenerf). Yes its valueble

Is it os and has a rare skin, dwarven axe, crystalline sword, tyrian serpent axe, dwarven hammer, swamp Club..... is have a value.

Look for buying thread from Sasha you see whats rare skins are.

If its inscr. Some inscr. Have a low ecto value.

I can also take a look, if u want. Can Catch me in kama when im online

Ok, so, how would yo do that? I was thinking about posting a first batch of 30 items, then bumping again with another 30 items when the first batch is appraised. Is that allowed by the rules?

I also gotta learn about price checking on my own, thats true. As i said, I am returning, so I need a bit of help at first. Are there more resources to learn about price checking?

  • https://kamadan.gwtoolbox.com/ try some items on this site. so far we have no clue what you have :D

some ppl return after years with a stash of q8 items that are now each worth 100a+, others have a bunch of insc q9s that are so hard to sell these days that you likely just merch.

so go by general logic and ask about the ones you think are exceptionally good (low req, high rolls on inherent mods) and those that have very low rolls on the mods - those might be prenerf. then check for rare skins. and anything common q9 will likely be merch.

I WTB all kinds of Tower Shields and Defenders. I do drop research - if you find anything remarkable or want to see the results - check the thread or send a pm!

  • Bumping this thread for a question: When, in a PC thread I get told that I should merch the items, does that mean I should sell them to a Merchant NPC? I ask this because some of my items have weapon mods. Does that mean that, even with mods, those items are still worthless? That the mods themselves are not that valuable, and should spare the trouble of salvaging them anyways?

  • Perfect weapon mods can have a value between let's say 50g and 25e. Typically in the PC section people give their estimates for the weapon itself (without the mods). This is because even if the mods are worth a few platinums the amount of time you have to search in order to sell these mods to a real player is usually not worth it.

PS. Another reason is that some people (including myself) are too lazy to go through all the weapon mods for every weapon someone posts. If you are interested in checking values for mods you can browse the Kamadan Trade Chat website
