Q8 Farming : List of Level 20 foes in HM

Hello everybody,

Throughout the game some foes are level 20 in HM, allowing for q8 drops but with the increased drop chance of Hard Mode.

I'm looking to establish a list of those foes with the intention of farming them, but the wiki is not very helpful here.

Well, I need your help. Do you know more of those lvl 20 foes? Some of those only appear during quests.

I'll continuously update the list. Thanks !

Thanks TongTong for those two ! Updated the list, added some new quests. It looks like those level 20 foes are often found in quests where allies turn into enemies during the quest. Interesting

Digging up this old thread... Has anyone ever attempted to farm the kournans in "Building the Base: Prisoners of War" for q8 items? The kournan group consists of tanky professions (warriors, dervishes, paragons, rangers) and some eles that do significant damage, so it seems rather difficult to defeat alone... Perhaps a VoSilence build could work?

I found one quest with Level 20 foes in HM that is fucking INSANE. It's the Am Fah quest Refuse to drink, you have multiple bunches of friendly Am Fah near a portal, when during the quest you refuse to drink they turn hostile, you wreck them, then if you rezone with the portal after they are friendly again and you can turn them hostile and farm them again (and again and again !!!). Rezoning takes like 10 seconds, THIS IS REALLY SICK, please add the quest to first post if you can, ty.

Done, though you're welcome to just repost this thread with your new account if that's easier than recovering your old one. I don't think there's anything I can do about the latter.

istani cultists of the quest https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Anger_of_the_Stone_Face are level 20 in HM, in zehlon reach.

you also can find the same lvl 20 istani cultists near Bloodback morrob in mehtani keys. both locations easily farmable.

there is also the tortured spirits of uw vale no? they are lvl 20 during uwsc so they should drop q8 too. Never got one here or seen one drop here thou.

Yes they are lvl 20 but they dont drop anything

Been farming "The Young Lady Vanishes" for 1hr a day for about 2 weeks.

Ive seen 0 gold sword/shield drop

And very few white swords/shields.

Im using trap heros and flagging them away before any killing happens so unsure if this is effecting the drop rate, but seems like this is a useless spot

wait wait wait, heros? the hero steal drops, also if you kill all in same time its the worst thing you can do to farm something, because if you kill all in same time less drop.

the heros are flagged away so dont effect the drops

In the primary Quest "Stolen Eggs" youll find some outcast enemies. in HM the Boss is lvl 20 and 1 necro is lvl 21, which make both be able dropping q8 outcast stuff

rodrik is kurzick and it'd be the only spot for q8 outcast stuff. I doubt he really does drop those. do you uave a screen?

Also the necros being lvl 21 is irrelevant in either mode until lvl 21s are proven to drop purple/gold q8s. The deathhands are regularly lvl 21 outside of that quest anyway.

No i dont, i fuess he drops smth else in potential q8 then x)

Regarding of lvl 21 i just wrote what i read in a legacy thread not long ago where ppl stated lvl 17-21 could drop q8 (regarding unident gold value)
