I've been chest running a little... I won't say where it's mildly embarrassing, but, it's netted a bunch of ectos in sold items in the times I've spent on it the past couple weeks. The retain rate is *really* high and I also added a certain unique item to my shield collection along the way.

Here's a hint where: I call it the "Fields of Unwanted Minis" as I'm sure many end their pixel lives there.

So a little more than 8 months ago my ignorance on the economy of Guild Wars today lead me to selling my precious q8 15^50 Dragon Kamas for a measly 100k + 70e.
Ever since I realized how much of a mistake this was i've been trying to buy them back. After having missed out on various pairs, I finally found them today.



I want to thank a bunch of you who have bothered to keep an eye out for this item for me, and notified me whenever you potentially found a pair. It's much appreciated!

Hehehe I probably should Pleikki. Thanks guys! I was'nt sure if this was the correct thread cause this was'nt a drop but rather a purchase.
I actually did miss out on this one again. Despite alot of effort to catch the original seller online, I ended up being 4 minutes too late. But thankfully the buyer was kind enough to sell them to me for a nice profit on his end. I probably would've given up on the search if he decided to keep them, to be honest. But it all works out in the end.

This dropped in HM Shing Jea Island, can q8 drop in HM?

Blue and white Q8s can drop from a variety of level foes, I have gotten a few q8 blue shields from level 30 foes in DOA, however Q8 gold and purples can only drop from level 17-20, possibly 21-22? Red or Ikki or others can confirm the level foes that drop the purple and gold q8s, which will be more likely in NM then HM.

Today finally finished my 1000 chest per area project on Nahpui explorable, the drop statistics ive been keeping is 3.4% sword 2.7% shield 8.8% offhand for that area, compared like pongmei valley i did month earlier its alot lower so for q8 changes not even close as good.

Here q8s i got during the 1000 chests.

Funny tho since chevy been keeping data for magma % drops on HP the overall shield drop % from Nahpui explorable (am fah and jade brotherhood foes) is lower then magma drop % alone in hells but im waiting more conclusive data about that from chevy in future

Next project is Xaquang skyway for 1000 chests, well see what kind of %'s i get there

Congrats Ikki!! Interesting results and nice to see the gathering of Q8s, regardless of type/color, always nice to see Q8s.

As you mentioned, and if anyone else is interested, I am still collecting data at Hell's Precipice for Magmas Shield drops, along with other data projects

Out of 240 chests so far (yes small sample), the current shield drop rate (all skins) is 4.2% (10 shields), 8 of those 10 shields were Magmas (purple or gold), resulting in a current magmas chest drop rate of 3.33%. More data to be collected.

In the meantime, I have been running/tracking The Undercity and Barbarous Shore in NF in hunt for a nice Q8 Gold, was hoping for a sword but that would be a miracle. Instead, I just got this tonight on chest 396 (1st Q8 out of 396 chests). It is one of the more common Q8 insc gold shields out there but still makes me happy.

Also interesting timing that someone just posted a PC for the exact same shield.

No amazing drops of late, but I killed a flamingo by accident yesterday. Pretty sure it was the first flamingo I've ever killed in 10 years playing. Sure, I've inadvertently snuffed out other innocent fauna before, but this one really bothered me.

I did not have the heart to make a minion from poor "Pinkie" the flamingo, however, my fingers had no problem doing it.

Am not the biggest fan of warrior weapons but this drop got me really stoked today!!!
