Crude Shield

since it is a core skin you can basically run everywhere. nolani, WoC, pongmei... depending on what you're after (q8 or max stat as priority, what mods - if creature mod specifically you need to run proper campaign)

If they drop from a source the chance will be pretty much the same amongst all shields, whereas nolani for example drops many shields in and off itself, hence the accumulated chance should be relatively high there. sadly it is not like plagueborn where when running plagueborn mobs you get 100% plagueborn shields (amongst all shields)

then any hm option would be your best bet - ideqlly one where you do not have armor in the drop pool and ofc nothing like plagueborn - since these drop plagueborn exclusively (there is other categories of mobs like it that you should avoid - stone summit, titans,... to name a few) fac or proph wouldn't be impirtant either - whereas I think in fac there are a few more core skins, hence chance for a crude would likely be best in proph. so I'd say nolani isn't terrible. but be warned - in tens of thousands of runs my best one was a q13 -2wE +30. chances are low

Odds are very low though. I did get a q9 -2wS +30 shield at nolani once but it was a Tall shield. Have not had any great Crudes, but you do get a few there. I'd look to buy one tbh

Nolani is the only place I have ever had them with any regularity (never a good one). Anywhere with warriors that wield them and cannot drop any non-core or exclusive skins is probably the best place; can’t think of a better place tbh. Only other suggestion would be a white mantle warrior (early ice caves is all warriors/rangers iirc?)/enchanted armor (outside dunes of despair maybe?) farm somewhere but they can also drop aegis/sotw in addition to all the skins the charr drop. Gates of kryta also drops a fair amount of shields (although you get far more sephis axes/dead bows than anything else) but I think you already farmed there given you have your r9 sephis axe 😊 and not as many shields as nolani it must be said.

Well…there’s magmas shields! But I have dumped almost 500 lockpicks into hells precipice and have got a solitary dual mod out of it…

Do glooms drop from coldfire night chests? If so then you could try the standard smite farm.

and gl Excite Blue I have a neat war build but I die too often so I wouldn't recommend if you are after survivor as well

Like others have said Nolani is probably the best bet even though Crudes still don't drop often compared to some other skin, I haven't compared to trolls, minos, griffons as those should(?) drop them too, might be worth checking out. If you want to try for q8, Crystal desert, Maguuma and Pongmei if you get insane luck, WiK also but drop rate is really bad. Good luck in your hunt. Crude is love.

Just curious, your ironman has obsidian armor? That's pretty impressive
