ive only just noticed this and im wondering:

as far as i remember the snowmen looked a lot more white and 'flat', now it looks way more silver and shiny. and i don't have post processing enabled, the new options (HD bloom and SSAO) are greyed out. i think i recall some level of shine in certain places but it was more subtle.

was it always like this or has anybody else noticed a difference?

edit: from certain angles with light hitting straight on it looks as i remember, but still the other angles do not look normal

But very quickly, from the very first page, participants posted their titles and many other items besides the drops. This topic has also become very popular and widely followed. It has become a general topic of discussion: what happened to you in Guild Wars today, whatever players wanted to express about the game. I am far from being the only one who follows this topic more than any other on the forum.
Since last November, an update to the topic requires that we only talk about drops, as it is in The Xunlai Market section. This is not a good choice, and an opinion poll would also demonstrate this. Re-creating a similar topic would not have the same impact, and most people on the forum would not follow it in the same way (not to mention the history of the current topic).
The right solution would have been to change the section of the topic, not to restrict it solely to posting drops. On behalf of most people on the forum, please make a change that will allow us to view this topic as we did before.

edit: from certain angles with light hitting straight on it looks as i remember, but still the other angles do not look normal

it changed since reforged imo

i still completely fail to see even the premise. what problem is this trying to solve?

all this does is destroy an organic conversation by splitting it up

Because this is a forum. Where it is possible to have multiple relevant sections, threads and topics to aid in discussions.

It is not necessarily a problem but a way to improve visibility and discussion across the forum.

By putting any/all (discussion) content into one thread it means interesting topics, like the one you posted with model appearance, get lost with an immediate number of posts about something else.

If that is what people actually want, that is ok. It is simple enough to merge the content back and move it to General area.

There was a mixed response to changing the existing thread, and there was not any constructive discussion such as in the Forum suggestions and help area about how to manage this kind of thing. Only Neutral_CH reached out with a message to Moderators this week.

Most of the content in the thread in Xunlai was related to drops and comments on them. It was rare something else was mentioned and always that content could have gone in a separate thread to encourage more discussion and topics. I have tried out making this change to improve discussion and activity in the general forum areas rather than having all content go to one thread.
