Dang, sorry to hear, it could have been worse, like a stack of ectos. I imagine many others have similar stories, I know I have my own, all I have to say for others to learn from, don't dye a q9 shinobi blade +5e black and leave in your inventory, bad idea. RIP shinobi.

around 950 chests since last gold q8 finally got one, single mod crap but still made me smile (Got two purple q8 in those ~950 chests)

Only 25 chests since that gold q8 above this one popped

Ran this time pongmei valley again, starting boreas! At start seemd i wouldnt get single q8 but last 450 chests had 8 q8s! 3 q8s alone in last 40 chests lol

Some statistics on drops: 5.2% swords, 5.0% shields and 12.5% offhands

That is absolutely correct! Highest dmg for white axe, lowest req for such axe, best skin of an axe and on top of all: highest goldvalue occuring in pre - huge GZ!

Well dropped this a few days ago, pretty close to awesomeness though not even max dmg :). Would look so clean if not that 1 % off sigh.

I finished 1000 chests at Vulture drifts normal mode today, i think i mustve broken record for q8 drops, i had total 13 q8 drops from 1000 chests, meaning 1,3% drops were max q8s! From 13 q8s 2 were shields, 11 offhands as u can see from the image.

Overall drop statistics also show that this area especialy has alot greater changes for q8 drops then any area ive ran in cantha, from all drops statistics for the "Possible q8 items were: 6.5% swords 4,4% Shields 17% offhands from all drops!

Here q8s i had:

With last 1000, now since february i have ran and logged total 5000 normal mode chests for q8s!

From those 5000 ive had total 44 q8's ! From those 11 Were golds and 33 purples (25% golds)

38 were offhands, 6 were shields (15.7% shields)

And for Swords, shields & offhands total avg from all areas drop rates were:

5000 chests total:

243 swords, 196 shields 674 offhands
4.86% swords 3.92% shields 13,48% offhands

Great research Pleikki, it really is a huge help to all of us! What is your next area to test? I assume you will test all areas possible until you find the "definitive" area to run for Q8?

Well its not only me researching also Red and Chevy doing great work with out project! (theyre making alot more raw data even that i am!)

But i really think from areas we 3 ran this is the best for q8s because it has really lowest armor drop rate which has huge impact for other items being more common.

For now i will continue with vultures cus i dont know of any other area thats easy to run thats not tested yet (and not looking grind some slow as fk runs, the run must be good to run) and i do think heres the best chance for gold q8 sword drop ive searched for 10years already xD
