Else i agree with the PC above maybe even a longer time then 1-2weeks is worth it. You can put a 48h no more bids then sell it limit after 2 weeks. Often that leads to best prices

stance usually goes for less than ench. on the other hand, I just had to pay 250a for an outcast which same stats. bid wars can happen in sellers favor. I would agree with 1xxa to 2xxa range but ultimately depends on interest/bid warY

It is the rarest of the new items BUT drops on the most profitable farm and hence its pure rarity gets overshadowed by the powerfull number of WoC-Golddrops in one run and significant amount of the Robo Friends farming it. Also they farm Armbraces so at the end we as players are not needed to discuss these prices down to the penny and its just trading robo time for robo time. Value is what it will sell for. Mabye it will be 10k arms. We will find out. I personally would not pay over 1k even in clean value 🔚

Skin is pretty rare indeed and there seems to be quite a bit of interests for the shields even when the mods or requirements are nothing to talk about... Guess the name is kind of catchy...
Perfect inherent mods for a Drunken Master Stance Warrior, but skins a bit meh, and being drunk most of the time means I'll probably have a hard time saying, "I'm wielding a 'JAPAN 1ST ANNIVERSARY SHIELD'"
Still, it's new, rare, and perfect for most so the sky's the limit... Would agree that it can be anywhere between 500-1k+ arms for anyone who can afford it just for the prestige or a good investment if 'perfect' doesn't drop very often...

Even tho it gets botted, they didnt manage to get a singular one with usable stats yet.
Thats how rare they are.

There was 10vs demon - 2wE ones for sale.
Since you like the term "in fact" i can tell you in fact that a q9 matching 20/20 chimeric prism is infinitely more rare. Also getting useful mods in offhand is way harder then on shields. Also mentioning a q9 dom 20/20 jellyfish wand wich most likely does not even exist to this day in any req even tho beeing in the game for over a decade and farming them is not in the focus of robo friends. ( Gentleman Xander 's 20/19 is the closest i have ever seen)
So to rephrase your statement : for you personally and in your opinion the shield is the most rare drop you can imagine and u have so far not seen one with good stats by your definition and hence you expected its value to skyrocket.

Chimeric Prisms, Jellyfish Wands and any other drop in the game
drop like candy compared to the Japan Shield.
So by definition, since The Japan Shields droprate is lower,
getting perfect usable stats on it is more rare
than getting something else with perfect stats.
It doesnt matter that they get botted or not, the droprate doesnt change.
You can claim however that since they are botted

Reading this thread gave me some laughs
… but to clear the air-Japan Shield is probably the rarest to drop in the game (ex: you’ll find more jellyfish wands than Japan shields while farming)
-but to hit a 20/20 matching mods and req on a rare universal scepter or focus is harder to roll than a perf Japan shield (ex: even though you’ll find more jellyfish wands than Japan shields; it’ll be way more hard to hit a 20/20 matching mods with matching req jellyfish than a perf Japan shield)-Japan shields are also found in one of the most popular farms/botted areas. So even if they are harder to hit; there is a significantly higher chance to bring more into the game than some other items. But want to ignore this fact for this discussion.
To clarify further: in order of how hard to drop easiest to hardest- any jellyfish>any Japan shield>perfect Japan shield>perfect jellyfishSo technically you are all kind of right; but clarification is needed to complete this argument.

It's kind of the same for the shield right now, but pretty sure it's gonna change in the future. (well, i'm making it happen rn)

True calin; but I just used jellyfish in example because you all did, but you can interchange that with any universal profession wand or focus.
A perfect jellyfish, straw effigy, or even a jade wand; Is much harder to drop than a perfect Japan shield.
Someone did the maths here: Calculating the chance on a perfect q9 20/20 machting attributes Wand
Edit: someone needs to do the same math for shields. Then with that information X, can determine how much more rare of an “any univeral wand or focus” drop vs an “any Japan shield drop” would have to be Y to be the rarest drop overall XY. So taking back everything I say until that X number comes out. But once it does I think the answer would be easy for us all to agree on. I’m bad at maths, so this algebraic equation may make no sense.
edit2: wand math says 1 in 4,800,000,000. If shield math were to say 1 in 4,000,000,000 I’d say perfect japan shield would indeed be rarest. But if shield math were to say 1 in 100,000 I’d say the perf universal wand is indeed the rarest as the any Japan shield drop rate wouldn’t be able to offset the easier universal wand drop rate.

you'll be taken aback: a gold dualmod shield is 8% to be matching stance - and max stance mod 0.5%. among all the gold shields that drop it is about 0.1% or 1:1000.
the wand math in the thread is way off in several regards as I replied in the linked thread. with data and knowledge I gained since I guess I could do another approach at trying to give a proper number, but it will be way more common than the number given yet way more uncommon than a shield.

okay I've tried:
let's just calculate hct and hsr mods: 1.4% among the dualmods. matching will be 1/21 or 0.07%. matching max about 0.017%. among all gold wands 0.003%. matching to req... difficult. you'd consider a req div 20/20 prot matching, but not a req fire mod earth... I'd ballparkit as slightly more than only the 14attris available for req, so let's take 10. so 0.0003% or 1:33.000.
multiprof foci however are what will put all this to shadows... maybe I'll even attempt that now...

but yeah its a pc thread... sry. a defender exact same stats went for 80a recently so a japan shield should and will far exceed that. I wouldn't be surprised about mid to higher xxxa range. put for auction and give it time.
and ench mods on a strength shield wouldn't be more valueable.
