No congrats Shaggy, thats a great drop, anything req8 dual mod is good in any of our books! Plants + Dazed = perfect Urgoz shield too, which our Ally does a lot of, so instant jelly

Had a pretty long streak of getting single modded shields. Got this earlier from a chest. I'll take it!

I'm playing through Prophercies on my Dervish.
I was surprised to find another player in Divinity Coast, they were looking to do the mission in HM so I decided to team up with them instead of playing NM on my own. I brought my heroes and we completed the Mission and Bonus no problem! We both helped each other out and it made a nice change to playing solo/with heroes!
Later on I was back in Lion's Arch and someone was looking for a run to Granite Citadel. I offered to give it a go for them as I hadn't been there either. We had to run from Camp Rankor to Deldrimor War Camp and then on to Granite Citadel. I did die a few times along the way but we got there in the end! Another happy fellow player and I got to do something different to missions for once!
All in all it was a nostalgic experience and proved that there are still people out there playing the game!
[TLDR] Nostalgia. People still play GW. Happy to play with other players.

Have u tried moving it in storage or trading to another accnt to see if the icon stays or its just an isolated gfx glitch?

It did auto fix itself once I used it, I bought a sal kit and it did the same thing and when I move it, it went normal as well.

So... a random guy who logged on for the first time in 4years, decided to give a ton of mini pets away today in Kamadan. Seeing that he was in the same guild as collector friend, I asked if he happened to have any q7 or q8's for sale. Although most of his collection was customized, he happened to have a few nice pieces that made it my way. Tried paying him for them, but he refused to take any of my armbraces. Ended up seeing some nice collection pieces that he had customized, as well as getting a new q8 Dual modded Skull shield and purple crystalline to add to my collection :D, among a few others/random.
(Shout out to this dude for adding to my q8 collection :D)

after many weeks...finally a good drop.
Too bad my birthday prezzies have been horrible--after ~200 7th years, STILL none of the non-1st-5th ones.....will have to figure out what the % for opening them and getting one of non's is at some point.

Where are you chest running for req8 crude shields?
Crude Shields drop in a lot of places so it's difficult to pick one place. If you are looking for OS Crude Shields, I see them drop from Crystal Desert chests and even got a q8 max one myself from Diviner's Ascent. I also got 5 crude shields (not q8) from Vultures Drift out of 328 chests so ratio for that small sample is a Crude very 65 chests or so (Keeping in mind it's a small sample so that ratio can drastically change.

Mantids treated me to a set of q9 +5e Salient Daggers during favor earlier...
Honestly, I'm not a fan of the skin but have most other os q9 +5e dagger skins, so maybe I should work towards a complete set.

A big thank you goes out to Yuko Expugnare for selling me 2 of the last 3 hammers I was missing in my Q9 OS Hammer 15^50 collection.
He offered these out of his own personal collection when I mentioned I was only missing a few hammers. This is an exceptional example of the GW community continuously working together to accomplish goals.
Now, I will be busy for a while farming/chest running for the last one, Spiked Club I will find you!

I really like this thread, so i wanted my first post in here to be something special. Last night I was able to purchase one of the few items i really desire. But the most remarkable about that is the fact that the seller, a renowned and well known collector of this forum, sold them to me not because of the money but because he wanted to help me get an item I truly want. With me being a random guy on the internet for him/her, I can only imagine how strong the mutual helpfulness in the collectors community is !
The item is now customized to one of my characters and will be used in battle regularly. Out of respect I wont put the sellers name in here without consent, but I hope he/she is pleased with the item's new home.
So again a big thanks to the seller for the trade and reminding me what this game is truly about !
p.s. I will edit this if the seller wants/agrees on seeing his/her name mentioned here.

and in other news...decided to work my way around the island to do some carto and the sin boss dropped for me:
nice to get a gold drop (though crappy mods and of course non-max)
and got some of the year of the pig fortunes...which do NOT stack with the old ones!

Don’t have pics because I’m not home but me and moon were nm pongmei chest running and I got a q8/15 gold echovald... what a punch in the gut. And to make it worse it was only +28. Just my luck

Wish mine were dualmod too, i got gold q8 offhand just after u went to bed!
1st time and 1st full inventory after new update and larger bags! it definetly takes sometime to get used to this xD

I ran about 30 chests by starting at Zos. I shrine hopped to everyone's favorite Luxon Sins and checked for chests by them, then looked by the naga boss, then ran across the north edge of the jade bits and ended by MQ door. It didn't take very long, I only stopped because I was saving the unids for someone.
Chest #27 was this which i'm keeping unid for now.
After I gave them the unids (I had 25 from boreas and 5 from imp sanctum I got on a diff character waiting for them to finish their VQ) they IDed away and gave stuff back.
One rune drop was a sup vigor (yay) and also these were in the lot.
It seems my luck with forbidden staves hasn't changed, if its 20/20 matching it'll be q12+
but...
Yaay! Best Dragon Staff drop i've ever personally had!*
*Yes I can factually say that, my luck with Dragon Staves is that horrible.
