so im doing a chest run in a dwarven area and they hurt 
the ranger dwarves deal the most dmg so i was wondering what would be better +10vs pierce shield or +10vs dwarves
im curious in some numbers if any1 hast got them: for example a bow attack by a dwarv deals 40 dmg , how much would it deal if i equip a shield with +10vs pierce = 30 dmg? or when i equip a shield vs dwarves
appreciate any info, i sadly dont have a shield vs dwarves yet so i cant test
As a general rule adding 10 armor will reduce damage taken by 16%.
10 armor is 10 armor. If an enemy is both a dwarf and dealing piercing damage both mods would produce identical effects. It's just a matter of what else you want coverage against.
If you take a +10 piercing, you will have damage reduction only from ranger.
If you take a +10 dwarf, you will have damage reduction from all dwarves.
After if in this area there is not only dwarf, you can also swap shields 
Agreed, for little guys, Dwarves certainly hit hard, especially in HM.
It would depend on where you are running (which I think I know where wink wink), but if all Summits for example, would go with the vs Dwarves shield.
Personally, I use vs Dwarves -2^Ench when chest running around Summits.
Keep in mind that Ice Golems are technically Summits as well.

You can also use the long sword from Hylas for extra armor vs dwarves, if you didn't reach the bonus armor cap yet.

oh thats some next lvl info, i guess i will use the sword with +20ench mod and shield with +10vs pierce

A few months ago I have tested this sword and it seems the armor bonus doesn't work (either bugged or nerfed a while ago).
On a side note I also tested the Rinblade sword for the +5 armor vs charr (Rinblade) and it is also bugged.
