correct me if I'm wrong but I remember gold value ≤200 means unide gold value <50, which means q8 potential!

I think that's why weapons from Zaishen Chest have a minimum gold value of 204.

I thought it was 35 and under for gold unids? At least that’s what I have come to understand for prophecies

Bluey what Ascalonian said. need to be below 35unid for q8 potential - commonly said. there is a bit more to it, but that is the general rule.

GhostKairi 184 means max 45unid, and lvl22 would be 40g+. still no q8 possible anywhere closeby

My best guess besides drakkar lake djins would be ice imps. Probably not even locked chests, rather themselves. In hardmode should be tried.

All theorycrafting here but I would say: no.

Why? It would be the only item of the new ones from an endchest. So, it would be out of order. They would have put glacial blades then also in an endchest I guess.

Also, the drag. endchest already has an exclusive item.

I think it must come from foes or locked chests.

Out of order can also mean drops very rarely from very specific mobs. Anyways. Time will tell 😁 and in the end I will be right of course 😆

I've toyed with the same idea and as a result have spent a fair few hours farming Ice Imps, aswell as Frozen Elementals. And I can report that they've dropped me surprisingly few new skins.

You have to use a Charr salvage kit on a pair of glacial blades to turn them into a glacial blade only AFTER doing 1 /beg emote, 1 /shake fist emote and 1 /helpme emote. This will result in 2 identical duplicate glacial blade swords.

Maybe a rare Foe like Jormugand drops them?

Anybody been trying to farm that one?

Quicksilver, req9 inspiration, from HM wisp on Drakkar Lake.

Peacocks Wrath, req13 inspiration :(, from NM Ebony Citadel.

DEEP HM dropped off Oni.

Hourglass Staff dropped from a chest in Cathedral of Flames NM.

What about the glacial griffon? Could it be that the blade can only drop from the glacial griffon HM? I'm wondering as it is the only (?) boss with "glacial" in its name, plus it fits the whole norn region theory

"The Glacial Blade is a sword, forged by the Norn in the fires of the Far Shiverpeaks"

Drop by norn enemies only. I think there are only 2 norn bosses in the game?

Lions Pride, req 12 fire, from HM Drakkar wisp.

Bogroots frogs drop tons of stoneblade and granite edge, and it seems likely none of the other new skins.

Aside, does anyone have an efficient farm for Drakkar's? Derv works, but very slow (probably slower than doing it 8 times with a full hero team), and you're dead if you aggro the elementals or horsies.

From Varajar Fells. First drop in eotn in over 5k solo kills during favor. Has it been this rare for others as well in general content?

As someone who has farmed norn area exclusively in a farm with very high new item drop chance I can say that in over 200 new skins and over 5k mobs killed I haven't dropped either glacial from a mob, but maybe all but 1 other skins that drop there. So my biased opinion is yes. Especially since we saw 3 glacial blades drop from chest runs the first 2 days or so alone

Around 20k mobs, a lot of all skins, only few shields (like one of each skin).

More dropped skin : Hourglass Staff.

I farmed glacial griffon for 1hr with favor and got 0 gold drops in hardmode

small sample size, but i hope its not dropped from here xD
