/doubletake (I think we're going to need another update.. 2x final chest and 2x drop, maybe if anyone in the group is doing this for the first time(?).

I’m still on the fence about all this. They are adding new elements, contrary to what I’ve sometimes said on this forum, but I’m also keeping an open mind. On the other hand, they’re going about it clumsily. For example, in Pre:

- Adding inscribable weapons in Pre? That ruins the “old-school” feel of Pre. The same would apply if Reforged were to introduce inscribable weapons in the Prophecies and Factions campaigns.

I wonder, in the long run, if the content updates keep being this clumsy, whether it won’t end up destroying the game rather than adding anything meaningful to it. Yes, running the dungeon was fun, I’ll admit, two or three times, but after that, I move on to something else. Will people stick around and spend money in the GW store if the content can be finished so quickly? If nothing sells in the store, the business model won’t sustain Reforged or pay the employees’ salaries. So things will go downhill, and the content will too. Overall, the Reforged hype and the potential return of players are already on a downward trend. Not to mention the difficulties they’re having getting out of alpha/beta mode.

Note: I'm not complaining, it's just an observation. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not going to wait 50 years for a train that's never going to arrive.

But very OP devona (with max armor at level 20), max purple weapons and inscriptions (wtf?) I'm not a fan of...

I think this a common theme we are seeing here regarding implementation of content. The dyes dont stack!!!

Skill working on my pre searing legendary survivor of ascalon...

I think < 10 pll get the r3 survivor title in pre. It will be sad if new update make it Way easier to get

Do gold still drop in pre?

Well from what ive seen, ppl been begging for pre dungeon or similar for decade so guess they listened what loudest ppl been saying

I am happy with any changes that motive ppl to play again, and sure wish they kept the low level OS golds rather than insc purple crap tho

its wrong though, if you want to experiment you should make a beta branch and bug test thoroughly before you roll anything out on the live servers

This game doesnt belong to you. You are just in this extremely comfortaböe position to be able to still enjoy a 20 year old game without any costs. They even give us new Updates and even content. You are not alone in this game and those updates do not break the game in any sense. You are crying about a 5 hour window of now prenerf items dropping while bots have been flooding the market with purples for the last 10 years or more.

Yes there are "better" items now with the inscr ones, but that was the case since inscr got introduced in nf and still ppl prefer os ones. "Perfect" os purple still exist and u can still use those if u prefer that.

Stop crying and enjoy what you are getting offered.

With probably only a small team focused on Guild Wars Reforged, I guess pre-searing's the only content they can work with since tweaking the larger parts of the game will take a lot of time and resources... Who knows... Maybe it'll all come together once they introduce a copy of The Forsaken Tunnels (or more dungeons) to post-searing (and beyond as well).

It's unfortunate that they messed up the in-game economy for pre with the current new as well as nerfed gold drops but it'll settle eventually as the hype starts to dissipate. Let's hope this update is the only and last major addition to pre... Currently, it's alive and well, with a good volume of actual players.

Mess up any further and they'll be opening the gates to bots rather than a Charr invasion...

Now who amongst you did alpha/beta testing?

We don't crying, we analyze and share differing opinions and perspectives on the game. Besides, as you so aptly point out, your opinion of us doesn't matter, we can easily do without it. However, if you have insightful opinions about the game, we're always interested.

Agree with the OP... Should be fixed asap otherwise it'll be farmed/botted to death... It's good that they caught and fixed the gold drops when they did but being able to zone in and out is a whole new exploit.

Glad I'm not a FOMO... Still happy picking up dmg: 3-4 swords somewhere in pre atm...

it is in the recent patch notes. apparently they are "extra life" pets, i assume some sort of stream / donation goal

This comes from an annual event in GW2 (support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals), which is why some GW1 players aren't familiar with it. ->

if you can turn reforged mode on and off as you want, what is the point of devona requiring it?

at that point all devonas quest does is advertise reforged mode for the people who were unaware before, which i don't think can be very many by now.
