Rarest/most expensive items in the game right now?

  • Maybe just bring back 1 of each of the banned ones to get them back into the game atleast, but yeah not sure how people would claim them if they'res no event anymore

quest like for miniatures. You can transform client side with toolbox into any model anyways..

But then all the people, who didn't own any anyways, are going to complain. They are a minority, so can be ignored though.

  • i am still trying to find one but yeah unded kanaxai is like a myth it seems, think 3:1 Undeds for Unded Kanaxai i would think but even then i don't think anyone would do it even for kanaxai tbh they all seem super rare, that's me trying to buy for 10ka atm

  • Got it! Smart investor! So back to the original question: most expensive item IN GAME live today would be dictated by availability, correct? So if there is an unded polar bear available that might be it, but if an unded kanaxai became available from a returning player, that would for sure be the staple, right?

  • I think even polar bear wouldn't be rare in any case since you can still get them anything that you can't get anymore would always be a sight over things you can still get, even if polar bear is really hard to get through rng still obtainable and it seems still valued alot less than current drops for items as well most of the time

  • but if an unded kanaxai became available from a returning player, that would for sure be the staple, right?

Minis and tonics (of any kind) have never been and will never be the most valuable or rarest items. Full stop.

Yeah, but most demanding i would say just not as rare / valuable imo the market is a whole lot bigger for minis, but then again some items come really close as well unded panda went for like 10ka+ in Peqs auction and super rare pre nerf R7s going for alot less still

  • I think the issue is that you're focusing on things with prices when there are items that are literally priceless.

You're talking about sales when there are items that people just won't sell.

There are items that have, for good reason, only been available in sale or trade once or twice (or a small handful of times) in the entire history of the game. Those are the rarest, most difficult-to-acquire items in the game. The answer you're looking for is there.

Yeah i saw your collection on the GW collectors really nice items, wish i had stuck to trading more in the past only traded for about 8 months total have like nothing compared to you

Also GW 1, Swg, WoW are the only games that have really created legacy non obtainable items from the past that i've played

  • Fay I appreciate the kind words but it's not about me. If I remember correctly from way back in the day, you have some top-notch stuff.

The items I'm talking about are scattered across the collector community. People have their favorites. I think it would be difficult to get consensus, although I personally think that the answer is pretty obvious (I guess that's what it means to have a favorite!). My point is that we can't really answer this question by talking about markets because there's a whole class of items for which there is no market.

I understand that, for some people, this means that those items aren't worth considering (or remembering, thinking about, or even having knowledge of...take a spin around Reddit 😆) but, to my mind, if there's an answer to this question, it's in that class of items.

  • Yeah true its whatever you like most is what counts in the end really what i loved mostly was hammers and minis so when i came back i basically sold off nearly all my other pre nerfs to be able to get the minis i never would have gotten back then instead, and 100% for sure will never finish the hammer collection now a days just to rare for most of them even the easier ones from before seem quite rare as well so i'm going to try and complete the unded mini collection minus the kanaxai sadly lol

I love this answer and thanks for it! What would you say are the top five items or things that land in the priceless category?

  • Well, from my perspective, I can give you 3 for sure. For most of my guild wars life, I was told (in different ways and for different reasons) all about 3 items that represented the absolute best of the best:

    1. Req 8 15% unconditional double-bladed axe
    2. Req 8 14% unconditional serpent axe
    3. Req 8 30/-2s magmas

These were 3 mythical, legendary items that were always pointed to as evidence of how far noob collectors like me had to go before we could hope to match the glory of the all-time greats. I think ppl can argue about the others but I think any list without these 3 on it isn't a serious list.

  • since this item doesn't seem to get mentioned nearly often enough among the three Kromp listed, here is the greatest hammer (and perhaps unconditional?) in existence. I'm partial to hammers though.

  • What you're describing was a glitch but what you're describing doesn't account for all unconditionals. Iirc the "fake" unconditionals don't exist anymore..

    For reference: https://archive.guildwarslegacy.com/thread?id=1044…=2#post-5172380

For anyone who was confused last time I mentioned this on another thread: Unconditionals weren't a glitch.

It's up for debate whether or not they were left for us as gifts by Balthazar and Melandru themselves.

Edited 3 times, last by Captain Krompdown: Again: Unconditional weapons were not a glitch. (September 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM).

  • Sasha 100% agree about the hammer. I only left it off because 1) I thought I should leave room for non-unconditionals. Otherwise, the whole thread just arrives at the answer that's been obvious all along: unconditional weapons are, as a group, the rarest and most difficult to obtain items in the game and 2) not everyone feels like you do about hammers (although I do know one guy).

    <3[PhD]<3

  • I believe the title of this thread should be treated as 2 separate questions, and will always vary based on personal opinions

Most expensive? I would agree with Captain Krompdown that unconditionals would fit that spot perfectly (Teh Axe <3)

Rarest? So many to pick from but for me personally a q7/16 guardian of the hunt would be the rarest. Was certainly possible at one point but there is 0 recorded to my knowledge (hope to see one pop up and prove me wrong!) compared to several unconditional weapons recorded

WTB Guardian of the hunts 😎

  • Unded Kanaxai seems like a myth now too as well

The day before the 20th anv, there was 4-5 Kanaxais on display in Kama.

A guild memeber had one, but I never confirmed if it was ded or not. I assume they were all ded as I think people would know about it.

A friend of mine acquired a kanaxai around the time HoM was released. I assume he ded it as he was one of the first to get higher levels KoBD titles.....hate to think there is a kanaxai just sitting still in his inventory after all these years.

wow that's crazy must have been planned for that then lol

    1. Unconditionals, more like Un-attainable, no one would give one up unless offered an obscene amount of money irl and cares enough about the game
    2. Req 7 perfect weapons
    3. Req8 15^50 / +5e perf weapons, certain skins should be on par with some req7 prenerfs, Certain Req8 shields land in this tier, some in tier 2, such as Perfect req8 eternals, shadows, magmas, sws and crudes.
    4. Perfect focuses and wands with matching attributes, non-inscriptable of course, these are actually one of the hardest items to find and rarity only reason it's not higher is because it's not as desired as a martial weapon.
    5. Dual reductions, these are prenerf and a cool piece to have but they aren't that desired compared to a shield that is actually usable in combat, great paper weight though.
  • Yeah hard to tell minis dropped a ton when they came out but now are rising back up quite a bit pretty fast, there are over 600 Zippys, and zippy went for about 8ka value in trade before the update i heard and still around 2-3k in value now and seems to be going up each time they get traded away
