I will say that none of the couple recent ones have came with chat or full screen shots of the item dropped from the chest. Not that I would like to blame anybody for pulling a fast one on old glitched items, but I would like to see that information first.

Okay, so aside from dagger, Spear and Scythe, you won't be able to claim that weapons from Halloween 2010 are authentic (and have added value) anymore.
last time we got triple mods, there was no server rollback. it will just be a hotfix
They should’ve rolled it back, only it would have destroyed all the spears and scythes which were genuinely interesting. This time it’s only creating more borky shit in pre. Nothing otherwise interesting has dropped (waiting for a gold sickle or tribal axe post…) so what’s the harm in rolling back.
I’m not dying on this hill for keeping pre as it was, but triple mods is too far imo.
Await further clarification from ArenaNet... Hold off from buying (or selling) anything from pre for now.
But if you are well off, by all means... It's hard to believe that so much can go wrong with an update for a starter area but that tends to be the problem when there's a lack of communication between developers and gamers

Can confirm, we just had a party of Lvl 8-10 and one of the Lvl 10 members got a Gold Staff Drop Just sayin.... Don't have to be 16+ it seems

Have 4 toons sitting in pre at lvl 9, 12, 13, & 16 and none have even completed the quests for the full dungeon... Am just running my ranger around The Northlands to see what the drops are like and that none of the Forsaken mess leaks out into the main areas... Well, considering the drops for bags and salvage kits, I really wouldn't mind if some coding did leak into the main areas...
Will probably pop in this weekend though I'm not really bothered with the hype...

If they are able to execute a quick fix, the affected 3-mod items won't be any different from most of the stuff coming out of Forsaken... If they delete them entirely, rare items are still easily farmable so will be dime a dozen like in post searing in the very near future.
FT is still a novelty atm and a lot of new and old players currently running around creating a good market but end of the day, it'll end up just like post where everyone has too much...
Here's a good tip for ANet, raise the level cap to 25, bring in Nightmare mode for PvE with mobs at 30-32, produce more OS drops and reduce (or remove entirely) inscription items.
Creates a more healthy market and demand for items, and also less work in developing new content that are struggling with bugs and fixes.

I guess I would retract if you're bidding on any pre golds anymore. Not sure what the stance is gonna be for people who already sold (including myself). Didn't see this one coming.
After seeing ppl retracting their bids i wonder, i dont rly see the reason, since as far as i know:
- Items from chest are max dmg, therefor any nonmax gold from charr boss is still prenerf, collectible and rare
-Purple max items allready existed before the update, so ppl werent buying these nonmax golds anyway for use since max stuff was much more usable, but to collect and nothing has changed now with OS max golds dropping that arent "prenerf"
