Display MoreSo after a very long time of chasing after a item, today I was finally given the chance to make a offer and the rest was history. Thanks again Hairy Knight for the epic shield and a special thanks to MaxBorken for the meme. 😎
Behold the newest scary face shield to the collection.
Nice one. Totally love that.
Besides that, while checking this beauty i realized that the resolution of your screenshot seems to be much higher than my screenshot from post #909 for example. How is it possible that your resolution is that much better?
I know there's a few people interested in this, a buddy of mine got it i'm just posting for him.
One off, still happy :p
Todays "luck":
I wonder whats the chance of getting 2 dual vamp in a row ?
1 point miss, always made it harder
The battle of the one-offs continues.
*sigh* one off, ofc
Dropped in nahpui mission nm from a canthan chest.
Fast forward a couple hours, gw may have said "sorry about those daggers."
Was runing a bit, nom I'm wondering what I could do with this
hmm that doesn't seem right
Got this and at first I thought 'meh', but then realised that the numbers match quite nicely. Is it too far-fetched?
edit: bc 264 is 8×33 so we got 11-10-9-8 and 11-22-33 haha get it... no i'll show myself out
You know you can’t just post a screen of a unid like that and not tell us which mods! :o

I don't really ID my loots, I usually sell them to one guildi who buys them for 1k each or so

For jade wand one can discuss.. But good drops like this one is excluded! He is not a sincere friend, if he does not make the remark himself when you sell him this 1k/ea!
(After using toolbox to open the chests it’s bad ;P .. return of Karma?)

I don't have friends playing this game so it's ok
My cousin IDed my unids as he still needs wisdom title. Gave him this Jellywand Unid and told him i would like to have nothing less than a 20/20 one. Besides, it was just a joke, it was pretty close to what i wanted!!!
I'm speech less,
fun story : it dropped at the 7th room in the Deep, I told the guy, go get it, he couldn't.
Once we hit the chest I ran back up to this beauty and picked it up. Needless to say I was very happy when I id'd it and rewarded the dude with some cash, he died on his way back and therefore couldn't pick it up
Now, I need to find a decent looking sword to pair with it on my monk !
Edit : Thanks to Invokeur I found this shield a soul mate !
Edit 2 : I just realized but the gold values match LOL
Keep having some decent luck with Gothic Defenders it seems. Shame about the stance though

What a find haha, congratz so much. As an avid collector of these shields I have yet to drop one for myself.
Needless to say, i was a bit disappointed. But i see some potential in this one!
And btw. Another 208g value item ( MawKaw )

Damn I could start a collection of 208g items ahha !
Apparently the 208g value might start a collection lol.
That shield I bought from someone here not so long ago has the same gold value haha
If anyone has a q8 +5e zodiac sword/axe with a 208g gold value, please let me know, I wouldn't mind trading some weapons for it ahah !
Needless to say GW treated me with a new goal !
Edit 2 , is this value actually common or am I just not conscious of being attracted by that particuliar number ?
That paper I bought off of pleikki recently is also tied up to itOO
it is not at random that there is so many 208g gold items dropping, let me tell you this much
Anything lvl 24+ (which is almost everything in the elite areas and anywhere in hm) has an unid value drop range of 50-57g. The chances however aren't equally distributed but rather rapidly decreasing in probability towards the higher ones. By far the most common are 50 and 51g. 57g there is like 1 in a couple hundred (I'd have to check my data for details - irrelevant here - you get the idea). Then comes identifying: the formula of the id value goes: idvalue = (unidvalue + random) * rarityfactor. Random is a variable that is in the range 1g-unidvalue, again the lower being far more common. Rarityfactor is for the different rarities: 1 for white + blue, 2 for purple, 4 for gold. Putting this together you see why the 208 is one of the most common item values in game: 208g = (50g + 2g) * 4 = (51g +1g) * 4. It is the most common value for identified gold items in hm/elite areas and since this is the most played areas by 99% of the players these days probably the most common value for identified gold items overall.
Side note: also q8 elite area items will have this as their most common value since q8 there is prenerf and the nerf hasn't changed the unid value ranges by level but only the req by unid value ranges - thus you'll stand a chance to find your desired q8 caster zod sword/axe

Very interesting mate, thx for those infos.
I’ve noticed 136g is the most common value for q8 insc shields, i guess for same reasons?
q8 drops have most frequently unid values of 32 or 33g. (the whole range for q8 is 32-35g i belive) so the possible gold values are (32g+2g) *4 = 136 or (33g+1g)*4=136g,
and other possibilities (32g+1g)*4=132g and (33g+2)*=140g (34g+1g)*4=140g and (34g+2g)*4=144g. and (35g+1g)*4=144g or someting like that, Red Fireball say if ive missed someting from how it works hahah but yeah so gold value generates using this formula, until highest possible is (35g+35g)*4=280g or someting like that ;D
But techically since 99% of q8 drops are either 32 or 33g makes sence 136g is most common

similar indeed
But tiny bit more complex ;D
So here goes: we have to distinguish between different weapon types and between pre and postnerf. Long story short: postnerf q8 foci + shields will be most common in 136g which would be 32g unid with 2g random or 33g with 1g random on top. Pre nerf the statement might be true still but due to entirely different reason: there was no hm and farming lvl 20s was very popular - chestruns as well. Lvl 20 has highest chance for 32/33g and thus also 136g most common gold item id value. For post nerf q8s the source is also almost exclusively lvl 20s but that's irrelevant: anything above 35g can't be q8 anymore - thus the argumentation is that the q8 items are most common in 32/33g and near impossible at 35g. Swords however can't drop at 32/33g so there the most common idvalue is different - but amongst all the q8 items swords play an insignificant percentage - speaking post nerf. Thus the most common one is indeed 136g, lowest 132g and highest - we might never know (postnerf should be 280g prenerf probably 480 or so).

Did you allready forget about this
Did you allready forget about this
I did 😰
So rethinking: in the end I think you can just argue same way for all q8s - almost all coming from lvl20 and thus peaking in 136g.
Anything from below lvl 20 in q8 will just as well have more 32/33g q8s since they won't happen on lower values (probably - I'm still trying to find that 31g unid 12e foc... but finding efficient lvl 19 farming spots for foci... anyone help me?) And thus be most commonly 136g when id. Lvl 21 I'm not yet sure - if they drop q8 then only 35g or maaaaaybe 34g but it'd be an irrelevant percentage amongst all existing q8s.
Are you looking for an specific skin?
Cause Im allways doing a backward search
Skin -> Enemy -> Possible Areas

Nah - for me skins don't matter much (as of yet), I'm on the theoretical end determining the possible stat ranges. Once that is done a list of what mob drops what will yield all the possible ranges - some interesting ones will likely occur
So looking for ANY lvl 19 farmable casters - the more kills per time the better.

I have also noticed 136g for q8 ins gold shields as well. Very weird
Can't recall the last time I ran across a no-req purple, even in Pre. IDK, struck me as odd.
