Hi just want clarification, s/b means starting bet I’m assuming. So r/b is reserve bet and that means that is the minimum a seller will take?
And b/o is buy out? And that means they’ll take that if offered immediately? Please and thank you hahah

Yep you are correct :
S/B = Starting Bid
R/B = Reserve Bid (or required bid), the minimum the seller will take
B/O = Buy Out, the auction is over and you get the item immediately
C/O = Current Offer
s/b is starting bid, allowing a seller to give a starting point for where they value the item and a minimum offer.
r/b is reserve bid, the minimum they would sell for but would leave bids open a bit after it is reached if there's strong interest in an item.
b/o is buy out, a price a seller is happy to receive to trade the item outright when the value is offered.
Awesome thanks!
you can also see sometimes :
Obo : or best offer
some ppl also use it differently:
b/o = best offer
Obo = only buy out
You have to guess from the context
LoL Emma me 2 xD but I allways was to afraid to confess

Does this mean bidding less than the r/b is useless since the buyer wont sell below that anyway? I always thought r/b meant "if this price is reached i will sell within x hours" but that they could sell for less than that if there were no more bids.
In general yes, also sellers will often later add r/b based on bids. So I rarely ever see the point of a bidwar 😂
Why jack up the price when you can just sit and wait till a r/b or better: a b/o is listed.
When selling I will not take offers seriously when they’re miles from my r/b. Altho when buying I generaly place an early bid so that I follow the thread and just to show I have interest. This usually comes with a pm as well
As someone who has only used the german fansites in the past this thread is a godsend. While I could make out on my own what s/b & b/o were I really got hung up on r/b.
Would it be possible to put the acronyms and their meaning into one of the stickys?
i was looking for this terms before posting, but could not find it then.. It would be nice to put it in selling section and pin it, so it can stay on the top (ez to find). For new registered players.
