- Unconditionals, more like Un-attainable, no one would give one up unless offered an obscene amount of money irl and cares enough about the game
- Req 7 perfect weapons
- Req8 15^50 / +5e perf weapons, certain skins should be on par with some req7 prenerfs, Certain Req8 shields land in this tier, some in tier 2, such as Perfect req8 eternals, shadows, magmas, sws and crudes.
- Perfect focuses and wands with matching attributes, non-inscriptable of course, these are actually one of the hardest items to find and rarity only reason it's not higher is because it's not as desired as a martial weapon.
- Dual reductions, these are prenerf and a cool piece to have but they aren't that desired compared to a shield that is actually usable in combat, great paper weight though.

Spécial mentions that deserve a spot on the list :
- reindeer tonics
- Triple mod items (that gives real stats advantages)
- Other mauso items (OS nf weapons… etc)
- Guilds that won early golds/ tournements/world championships
Nich prenerf items that gives extra stats (ex : HoD axe with inherent hp if i’m correct) for me this one shares nº1 spot with uncond items.
Bonus : if we consider glitched items, illegals in presearing could be quite high on the list.

Well we can all agree some things are priceless and comparing value is dumb, it all comes to personal preference, whos buying and whos selling, there isnt set up market for nearly any OS items, minis and tonics are bit different for that reason that they have more "stable" economy even with all these changes we've been getting.
When valuating rarity, i like to compare it to similar ones because in many cases items are unique and really they are 1 of 1 with many prenerf items, hence tonics too they stack up because of theyre similar with slight difference, same for q7s, q8 15^50 and well unconds, 3-mods and all, there are many just small differences between skins and possibly mods, if theres someting relatively similar, id say it matters but thats just my opinion. We need to look for some unique qualities.
So here we come to the real thing, what item u can say there isn't anything relatively same around? Thats should be real rarest one! and since prices are all subjective and everyone saying items are priceless! especially if nothing actually is getting sold in this time.
Id put this one up there as example
for these reasons:
There isnt single other prenerf dmg/armor q6 item known to exist, hence its much rarer than lets say, prenerf q8 or q7 items that have tons of diversity and it comes to personal preferences between what they like
-> Its also the best item of its class, because its only on its class! Best skin and mods since nothing else similar exist and cannot be compared, u cant say same with q7, q8s, 3mods, unconds or anything
Well, i hope everyone gets my point between all the typos cus its just a though i got reading latest replies, i challenge everyone to think outside the box and tell what they think is item on its own class and hopefully we can even get some discussion around it!

Or any items that are glitched / not glitched but available for 2 or 3 days (mausoleum were mega farmed, so probably less rare than many others)
EDIT : a dual red shield with one of the reduction being -5^20 as another example of things that exists for 2 or 3 days - and someone drops one q8

Incase some have missed my point on the long run of quick thoughs, here hopefully bit more clarification.
The though came from henchman tonics since some say its 1:40 and others 1:1, i though of it and it basically is same as lets say q8 15^50 hammer or sword or anything else, u have a ton of different skins/names. Others more liked than some and depending on personal preference ppl value one over another, but in the end it is just q8 15^50 hammer or sword no matter what name or skin it is, since we barely got any actual data to determine rarity anyway ane most cases items can be linked to similar things.
And thats why if we really want to know what is the rarest it really has to have some unique quality imo and hope ppl would think if they can of someting like that

Look, between legacy and guru, there is a long history of threads like this (looking for the rarest item) devolving into "behold my random fascinating crap". I don't think that's the intent of this thread.
In a game like this, which has been around for so long and that has had so many twists and turns in its already complex itemization, there will inevitably be a huge pile of interesting tchotchkes. Others have already made this point (and even in direct response to your post):

I think the intent of this thread was to find the pinnacle items in the game. The items that are the best combination of rare and valuable. Items that are, strictly speaking, extremely rare (most likely because nobody bothered to notice them before merching) but not worth anything outside of novelty don't really fit the bill.
In a game with the history and complexity of Guild Wars, a question like the one being asked here should be tough to answer. Or at least it should have a complex answer. But, in reality, I don't think it does. I think the answer is really pretty simple.
The game's tchotchkes are there to be loved and they deserve the love they get. But they aren't the answer. We've tried answering this question that way before and it only leads to an endless sea of doodads and knicknacks. I think this thread (and others before it, if I'm being honest) is aiming higher.

I believe this is accurate. But also, as a PvP player, I wouldn't value one over the other, so I am the worst person to ask to care.
