That is interesting... same exact sword was shown to me back in 2016.. so either you bought this from him or you are "Glazen Blade Of Ice".

/shrugs.. thought he was Captain Krompdown. I guess it is not a sin to have multiple accounts =)
...and this is why there's one item in my storage that somehow never gets the chance to gather any dust
I love that shield to bits.

I wonder how many creature shields got merched back in the day…
mmh, nice cake server you got there!
Just hand it over, I'll add a sword hilt for you!
The shield also makes a great juicer or you can flip it upside and use it as a charming jello mold
i feel insulted being called Captain Kromp Down, Im glazen he traded me for that Crystalline jk kromp lovely collection you've posted
Captain Krompdown Thank you for sharing, specially the stories of how you acquired your stuff. I recently discovered this forum (I just returned to GW and english is not my first language) and it's been a pleasure to read your stories.
I have a couple of questions for you if you don't mind:
- You mentioned multiple times being broke after acquiring a very rare item. In those cases how did you manage to get back on your feet financially to be able to collect more?
- What is the rarest item you dropped yourself?
- Would you ever consider selling The Axe? And if so, at what price? I'm not trying to acquire it, I would just like to understand how valuable it is to you. For example let's imagine Gaile Gray was offering you to trade your The Axe for her frog minis, would you consider it?
- When I was playing back in the mid-late 2000's I remember seeing a post on very active french website (created by a member with good reputation) about a crysta q7 15^50 (with a screenshot in the post), the post creator was claiming to own it. The website no longer exists, I have been trying to find the post via archive.org without success. link-1 / link-2 . Have you ever heard of anything like this? It was back when you couldn't switch between regions more than X times and NA/EU/AS were completely split. Back in the days it looked credible but I was also a naive teenager... If that item ever existed, would you consider it more, less or equally valuable than The Axe?
Thanks!
I apologize for the "enchantment" shields in this post. Their presence does not imply an endorsement of any enchantment-related activities or acknowledgement that enchantments are real.
You are a wizard Kromp
Today, I am proud to announce the arrival of a little brother for Teh Axe. I present to you...
Teh Akhxe
Absent from the game for many years and considered by some to be the single finest item in existence, this ancient relic may be unknown (or maybe unimaginable) to newer players. Many of you, however, know this item from the legendary inventory of Akhilleus Pthius (known simply as "Akh"), one of the great trader/collectors (...and credit card warriors...) from the early days of the game.
Akh rose to fame not only because of his then-unmatched inventory but also as co-leader -- together with Chaos Kurupter -- of Brethren of Chaos [Dark]. [Dark] was a high-end trading/collecting guild where I and several others cut our teeth. Although [Dark] itself was short-lived (less than 3 years, disbanding in late 2007), it is a guild whose impact can be felt even today, as [Dark] alumni continue to anchor the collector community. It is safe to say that, without [Dark], there would be no [PhD], so this axe holds special significance for me personally.
*EDIT*: Since posting this, I've heard from some of you who feel the same way about [Dark], your time there, and the significance of this axe. I've also heard from some of you who are simply happy to see the light of day shine upon this axe once more. I'm thrilled to have had the chance to preserve this treasure and bring it back to the public eye for everyone to enjoy
Please take your time to enjoy the long-lost centerpiece of a seminal collection and the single most distinctive relic of the grand early days of Guild Wars.
Good god, Kromp.
An immeasurably beautiful relic of times gone by. Gonna be staring at this one for a while.
I'll definitely have wet dreams tonight, what an incredible treasure...
Perfect picture.
Mindblowing🤯
Great poster it even makes people have to read the long post after 10/10
That's fine, I guess I like it.

Love the axe and love the background looks like Jörmungandr the world serpent.
I might not be an expert... but I'd say it's one off - straight outta merch!
srs tho: GZ! thats insane. and a good read on top - thanks
eager to see what other of akhs items were moved in the recent occasion and where!
Absolutely stunning piece of history cemented into the books forever. Thanks for sharing this beauty with the world!
This must be one of these Ascalon int. 100k + xx ecto items that nobody can afford! Better customize it so it catchs up to Teh Axes damage.
A trully legendary piece of Guild Wars history. Amazing how something of this stature can still pop up in todays day and age.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing it with us Cap!
Great Akhxe.
Any more Background Story to it, or maybe other items you were able to geht your hands on?

Akh kickstarted my pursuit of ancient relics, but none have even achieved a fraction of greatness of what he had.
I'd say the teh axe junior is the greater axe than his big brother such an iconic skin of the holy trinity.

Sure, some even consider Teh Akhxe to be the single best item in the game. I don't agree but I definitely get it. I don't think it's an unreasonable thing to say.
And thanks for sharing your memories of Akh. Maybe someone should start a memorial thread for him now that his ashes have been scattered.
I'm glad you enjoyed seeing this axe again

Indeed, there is one axe more epic than everything that you have ever seen. But people are not worthy yet to see Teh Shitaxe... Oni of Demonslaying

Teh Shitaxe is a testament to the dedication and love of the game our Manly Leader has exhibited through the past two decades. It is also a missing link, binding all axes this game has ever produced and bridging the gap between post and prenerf, past and future. It is the omega to displayed alphas, and Charbybis (which is also a vortex, signifying the never-ending abyss of merchants) to the mighty two-headed Scylla (teh axe and teh akhxe).
I am glad you have witnessed it, but fear it is not yet time for the general public to be exposed to it.
