Challenge: Legendary Survivor of Guild Wars (LSoGW)

After a 7 year hiatus, I returned to Guild Wars to re-experience the game. I had no goals in mind, but decided to complete account-wide titles and do things I'd never done before. I set out to complete LDoA, and in my journey I came across the concept of Legendary Survivor of Ascalon. It's not a real title, but an incredible achievement (and mind-numbing) to complete Legendary Survivor without leaving Pre-Searing. So, as a personal challenge, I wanted to complete LDoA and take the character to Post-Searing to finish Survivor.

But why stop there? How far can I go completing the game without dying? I'll consider it complete if I get to GWAMM and complete all elite areas shown by the personal version of Hall of Monuments with 0 deaths.

I encourage anyone else to join me in attempting this challenge! Please post your progress or past experience. Good Luck!

Honestly, the scariest part of this is accidentally letting an NPC die and failing a mission.

Just a quick update on my progress:

- Finished R3 survivor (so at least that doesn't screw up!)

- Completed EotN NM; working on Prophecies

- Finished an Urgoz SC with the help of friends in 24 minutes

This task really keeps my heart pumping!

Died in Traveler's Vale; got Ice spiked and didn't close my client fast enough. I didn't make the necessary precautions apparently. Welp. So much for that. Onto the next thing I guess!

Additional preparations have been made this time

Welp. Died to a single mob: Ssissth the Leviathan doing Jaga Moraine VQ and mapping. Thought I could shut him down when aggroing, but instead, he teleported and AoE'd me. I closed the client alive after 1 hit, but upon relogging, I was dead.

Giving this idea a break for a while. It's one tough cookie!

As a tip; closing the client is the worst way to prevent a death as the client will try to keep you connected in case it is a network disconnection (as the game allows reconnects).

The best method to leave a zone is to map to an outpost/guild hall, the second best is to log out to character select/switch character.

Thanks for advice! However next time (if there even is a next time), I plan on making the character leech as much as I can

I have a job that allows me to leave my computer on 24/7. Do your parents limit your play time to conserve electricity? JK

A lot of it is afk time. I do work at my real job 40-60 hours a week, though.

Edit: Also, one of my jobs is somewhat a desk job and can be slow, so I'm able to pull out my laptop and play/semi-afk a bit between interruptions.

I'll be finishing everything. If goes according to plan, it will be 38+1 max titles (+1 being GWAMM itself, which isn't counted in the total) and zero deaths.

What's left is basically Cantha NM/HM missions, vanquishing, mapping, skill capping. Other than that, the only thing is a few HM EotN Dungeons.

Long done. I Finished Lighbringer doing DoA NM on the last double week before doing the HM vanquishes. A status update will be coming soon.
