maguuma chests are lvl 17 and hence drop 22-38g unid value. hence max q8s (dropping at ~33g depending on weapon type) are possible. certain areas in maguuma drop armor pieces which drastically loweres the chance for weapon drops in general and hence also the chance for max q8s - but they can drop everywhere - they are just very rare and their rarity varies depending on surrounding foes (not due to their level but due to if they drop armor pieces). to check for that you can run 100chests each in different areas and compare the unid value distribution.

I was discussing with some guildies about trying to find my q8s Echovald twin brother (last seen (?) here Wts Prenerf Crystalline Q6 Gold + ES Q9 // Echovald Shield Q8t -2+29 // Diamond Aegis Q8t -2+28 // ARMS 47ectos) and we were wondering if any other q8, dual mod, perfect or close to perfect, exist and if so, are they still wandering around or were they lost to time?
I tried looking around but sadly not much came out of it so any help will be loved

Question related, are all q8 echos prenerf? Do they not drop q8 in pongmei ?

Pongmei still drops Q8 echo.

They are not prenerf, they still drop today. But they're rare, showcased by the fact that despite the amount of bots running Pongmei very few max gold q8's have popped up.

echos can drop q7 too :p

well, just want to know if does exist the chance of drop req4 max INSC from lvl 20 foes, i know is possible in OS but my lowest on insc from lvl 20 think was q5

idk if values influence is the same on os/insc, but farm more insc than os and my results are: OS drop in lowest req than insc in blue from same lvl foe (for moment) :p

point2: cant q8 golds drop anymore from lvl 21 foes? or the contributions of unid values of comunity are they relatively recent/incomplete?

indeed there is no difference between os and insc dropping mobs concerning stat ranges vs level or vs value. So: yes: everything that can drop os from a lvl 20 foe can drop insc on a lvl 20 foe. amd indeed that includes q4 items and occasionally they are also max

concerning point 2: the research into item ranges over drop and investigation of drops throughout the continents throughout the community led to the conclusion that max q8 items shall not drop from lvl 21. Ofc we will never be able to prove that something can not happen - but we have strong indications in that direction. (and yes, those finds are relatively recent)

Demon drops only cantha, so tyria only skins arent possible

As pleikki stated it's not possible with demons.

BUT FUNFACT: tyrian Shields can drop with plants-mod 🌿 in tyria even tho there are no plants on all of tyria. Plants first came with cantha.

Impossibly low drop rate, but the skree quest that takes place in the exploratory area east of dzagonur has umm level 3 skree mixed with level 28? I’d have to double check whether it’s the same model on noob island, or a unique model.

manuS nop, sadly not - you can deduce the info like that from here. best you could get would be a 7/0. need at least lvl 5 for a 8/0 drop chance.

i ddnt get golds from keyles in pre (idk if someone yes) , but drop golds from +lvl12 foes for 1 day every year

low gold q crystalline is supposed to be much older than all this, but still the answer is yes, you can get gold in preascalon but only for 24h/year

we will try next time the keyles :p

I will clarify the question regarding low level golds....

In "Post" only, Level 12 foes are the lowest level that can drop golds, this is the only level that can drop q3 golds, which are very rare but still possible today, both Insc and OS.

Keyless chests in "Post" only drop Purple items. These are the only chests that can still drop OS purple versions of skins that are known to be prenerf for golds (Crystalline Swords, Dwarven Axe, Serpent Axe (Tyrian), Krytan Axe and Dwarven Hammers). There is also a rare chance, nearly impossible but possible, to get a purple q8 Magmas, Eternal and Summit shields.

Lastly, Gold items (other than charr salvage kits) do not drop in "Pre" as of today.
