Community Collection Poster (2022)

Hello again friends!

Thought we could redo last year's Community Collection poster (version 2022)

The core idea behind this project is that everyone posts a screenshot of their — one and only — favorite item.
Mayhaps a gem you found during this year, or that one item that ended up being "the second option" in 2021.
In a couple of weeks, they’ll all be put together in a single poster.

I'm sure we'll get yet another legendary result.

Even if you don’t think of yourself as a "collector" but, nevertheless, have an item that’s special to you, feel free to join — everyone’s welcome!

I’ll start with my pick for 2022:

This was the item that started my journey as a collecter. Something stored deep into my vaults, that I will cherish forever.

The Exalted Aegis has been on my warrior since 2006. The first was a green one from Urgoz, and it took me some time to realize that gold OS shields was more valuable than green and collectable.
This dual ench was expensive and bought from Legacy this year!

How could it be anything else than this? I am certain there are more expensive or rarer items in my collection, however this is what embodies my years as a collector. These years have not only been marked by attribute shields, collecting them, other stuff, random bits and pieces of Guild Wars history and completing those collections, but also by the friends I made along the way. I have met so many people from the collectors community, almost all of them generous, helpful and kind. I truly wish all of us got along a bit better, but alas.

One person holds a special place in my heart. I'd like to believe he saw in me what I was trying to do. He knew of course I wanted this shield, because I had been practicly begging him for days if not weeks to sell it to me, after I'd seen it. In the end he didn't decide to take my amrbraces, but to gift it to me. This person is of course no other than: Rice. The one who gifted my this piece of Eternal awesomeness, the true embodiement of my hunt for those shields with that little extra attribute boost.

Since I acquired GWAMM on my Monk, I've played her less and less, but I do pop in once every few days just to check on this shield. It's just so nice to look at this kind of stuff, isn't it?

Never been a collector, never been a trader, never been rich, so the zaishen-title was extremely expensive for me. Therefore I had to sell many of my treasures, but my favourite sword is still in my chest, glad that I will never have to sell it: My one and only q8 15^50 sword I ever owned, and I also like the skin...

This has to be my acquisition of the year, if not my entire time in Guild Wars.

Eternal shields have long been one of, if not my favorite shield skins this game has to offer.

Forever grateful to have this in my possession.

This may not be my one and only favorite item.
But it's the item that marks the completion of my req8 Oni Dagger collection and is therefore the highlight of this year for me.

Due to the kindness of an anonymous individual, the stars aligned for this item to come into my possession.

As a Necromancer main, I can't say enough good words about this wand, or the person who infused my collection with such a grail.

Blood magic has always been my favorite, and this wand is used daily to its full potential.

In the interest of changing it up from last year, I'll say it's this.

This is probably my most one-off/standalone item, and of all the non-green items I've found while hunting prenerf greens, this is my favorite.

Many moons ago, a friend let me know about an amazing, Q7 Golden Chalice that one of his friends owned.

I got into contact with that friend, and we talked about items for a while. He explained the chalice didn't really fit into his collection, but he had had the item forever and it was pretty special. I showed him my stuff, we talked, and after a while I had to go soon. Before I did, he did something amazing . . . He GAVE me the item.

I offered to pay, but he refused, saying it deserved to be part of a good home. The crazy thing is that just a few weeks later, someone (a person on guru that I, probably very annoyingly, PMd a bunch of times about selling) agreed to sell me a second Q7 Golden Chalice, with nearly matching stats and an identical gold value of 136. He let it go for a fraction of what it was worth, again reasoning it deserved to be with its sister chalice.

These are two of the most unique items I own, and it feels almost impossible to split them up. That being said, if I truly had to choose one, I would pickthe +5/-20 one because it visually matches my triplemod wand.

I acquired this bad boy a few months ago after years of persistence. PyroLobster was able to assist with a trade option that made the deal finally happen and I'm forever grateful for his sacrifice and his friendship. This lovely staff helped me at certain points through running solo Urgoz's Warren and maintaining to break barriers and continuously lower the world record solo time.

I'm not a collector but I'd like to contribute with this one

I know it's not much as it's 14^50 but the story behind is what makes it feel special to me, it was back around 2005/2006 probably, some random dude sold it to me for 5k (along with a gold skull shield with one mod) in Ascalon. He told me that it would be a good set for a beginner. I remember barely being able to pay for it and hesitating to buy.
