I actually want to see an ingame vid of the Glacial Blade. I dont get Why would Anet make exactly that weapon so special, compared to the other New skins. I mean there is no explanation from them towards this. Or am i missing something?

I think at this point the glacial blade is likely dropped by a specific foe in a specific dungeon. Prob a dungeon that nobody farms or certain mobs are skipped due to SC.
looking at the first page you will notice that arced blade were only reported in shards of orr. So similarly glacial blade may only drop in a specific dungeon. People found arced blade because SoO is an overfarmed dungeon.
Also the mob that dropped the arced blade is a curses brigand, which can only be found in SoO.
A dungeon in norn territory that has unique mobs. I am thinking wurms in frostmaw!

For glacial blade(s), do you think it could be linked to mobs as creature eternal/gloom shields in ToPK for chests? In Ice cliff chasms maybe the previous glacial blades dropped from a chest near avalanches and not the first chest that could spawn from boreal chestrun so a large part of runners aren’t going for these chests. It could lead to farm chests near icy foes in far shiverpeaks.
Did someone try to farm artic wolves in Jaga Moraine for the glacial blade? They’re warriors with sword skills and kinda icy related.I've done full VQ HM for few times here and like 20+ VQ Ice cliffs and not single Glacial Blade or Blades so far, dungeon theory might be true and I'll check it in next few days too.

That means all items drop from random mobs except of TWO?
only arced blade and glacial blade drop from special mobs and the rest is random. Or did a forgot something?
Why did Anet choose such a path. I really hoped for new live for all the dungeons. I am a little bit disapointant that not all dungeons got specific exclusive new weapons.

granite edge, stone blade as well (all 3 of them each), or mostly said almost all eotn skins are mucch restricted. also the others do not just drop everywhere... it will just be a selective group of mobs or mob, that isn't popularly farmed - like SoO, CoF, ice cliff chestrun near worms etc.

Arced may be from EotN undead in general - pretty much the only wiki drop research entry for the new skins notes one from the prophecies entry quest.
Not sure what else that and SoO have in common...

i've had the same thought, just with ice elemental bosses in dragrimmar dungeon

Right now most of the the dagger version of the Glacial Blade seems to be from the 1st chest outside Boreal, which is a snow wurm chest.
Maybe the frost wurm in Frostmaw is the one that drop the sword version.
It has been a long time since I have done Frostmaw, but in SCs do they usually kill the wurms on each level?

im not super familiar with it, but i think multiple wurms have to get killed to do the dungeon.
in dragrimmar however, you don't need to kill anything except the endboss (which isn't an actual boss) his 2 small elemental allies. there are lots of actual ele bosses on lvl 1 that you can (and usually do) just ignore

Quite a few wurms are killed, especially in the last level.
On an unrelated note, I've killed well over 1000 undead in gates of Kryta HM during favor and none of the new skins dropped. Doing minotaurs in crystal dessert now. Super slow, but I'll report my findings when I'm done.

Looks like zoning in and out of Bjora Marches with Drakkar Lake is the best to spawn him. He is a warrior boss.

Yes, killed him a fewm times, i farmed Drakkar. No good drop so far.

Just for information in case anyone wondering. I just got an hourglass staff drop in a norn area. So the items aren't really bound to any area it seems. I thought hourglass was limited to asuran area but it's not.
